Wednesday August 21st, 2019...Morning Thoughts

Kyoto Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi.

Things I’m thinking this morning in no special order....

I noticed today that there was water 💦 coming out of a pipe that is in back of out heat exchanger to our heat pump. I let my husband know. He said that it looked like a water main break in the same pipe that feeds water to the sink in our bathroom that has been used constantly since we do not have a sink in our kitchen because of a kitchen remodel. So now we have to get that repaired as well and the new line looks like it is going to go through part of my garden. Those plants will have to be removed to make way for the new plumbing.

We usually go to Sushi 🍣 on Wednesdays at the semi new Kyoto Japanese Steakhouse And Sushi restaurant 🥢 because they have 50% off part of their sushi menu then. I look forward to it every Wednesday. We probably won't be going today though because of everything that is going on.

I need to water my houseplants 🌱. They look thirsty. I have a Crown of Thorns, Pothos, Thanksgiving Cactus, various succulents and hens & chicks, Aloe Vera, Finger Jade, Spider Plant, and an Orchid that has never boomed. I would love to add to my collection.

Edushape Water Magic Cube Review

I received this product free to facilitate this review. Affiliate links may be in this posting. Thanks for supporting my blog.

The Edushape Water Magic Cube is a neat water toy that has 6 different strainers. You can fill it with water using the triangle shaped hole and then rotate it to pour or sprinkle out the corners. Each corner has a different hole pattern so that the water flows out each in varied ways. Your child can play with this in the bath tub, pool, water table, or even in the sink! It is textured so that your child can grip it easily even with wet hands.

What We Thought:
My daughters love playing in the water, especially during the summer. We go to Dibblee Point Beach close by and swim in the Columbia River. We also have a sand and water table that we set up with squirt guns and water toys, a water slide, sprinklers, and we just got a above ground pool that we are going to set up. Summer is great for water activities!

My youngest daughter, Zari, has fun playing with the Edushape Water Magic Cube. She loves to play with it in the water table. She loves to watch the water trickle from the various holes. She also loves taking it and watering plants with it. This is a great toy for little ones.

Not So Wordless Wednesday Ice Hand and Orbs Projects

Ice Hand in the grass.

So my cousin Ross did this neat experiment with ice that I thought was fun. He made ice globe orbs and made them light up with little flashlights. Here is his cool YouTube video of it...

We however were out of balloons and so we made an ice hand because it was below freezing temperatures here in Oregon. All we did was cut the bottom of the plastic cup and attach the glove to it with a rubber band. Then we filled the glove with water and set it outside in the cold. We didn't know how well it would work, but it set up really well.

This picture gives you an idea of how the Ice Hand was made.
What other interesting things can you do with freezing water into ice?

Have you heard about Aquasana on Kickstarter?

Austin, Texas-based Aquasana, leaders in water filtration, announce the launch of a new Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a revolutionary water filtration bottle.  Offering on-the-go hydration with the best bottle filter on the market, this bottle will change the way people stay healthy and hydrated.

The Aquasana Filter Bottle pairs smart design with high performance filtration never before available in a bottle. The Aquasana Filter Bottle outperforms the competition delivering professional grade water filtration right at your fingertips.  It reduced lead and chlorine, plus over 99% of bacteria, virus, and cysts from drinking water.
Designed to be the longest lasting on the market, the filter inside the bottle will last for 80 gallons. It’s also eco-friendly: just one Aquasana filter bottle will keep 640 disposable plastic bottles out of our landfills.  The Aquasana Filter Bottle is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in your hand, and is available in shatter-resistant borosilicate glass or BPA-Free Tritan™ plastic.  It also comes with a premium silicone sleeve to provide protection against breakage and a nonslip grip.

The Kickstarter launched May 1, 2015, with a goal of raising $25,000.

Funds raised will contribute to the development, production and marketing of the Aquasana Filter Bottle. The product is scheduled to be shipped in August 2015.

Based in Austin, Texas, Aquasana is leading the charge to make high performance water filtration available in every home.  Your body is made up of 70% water. Aquasana’s leading products remove over 60 harmful contaminants from water including chlorine, chloramines, herbicides, pesticides, industrial solvents, lead, and mercury. Aquasana water filters are engineered to preserve the healthy minerals in water, which include calcium, magnesium and potassium, resulting in healthy, great-tasting water.  For more information visit www.aquasana.com.

DISCLOSURE/DISCLAIMER: I found out about this Kickstarter Campaign through an email from PR. My thoughts are mine and my family's own opinion and have not been altered by anyone else. LifeStraw Go Filtered Water Bottle Review and Giveaway

This review and giveaway is sponsored by Vestergaard through Coyne PR. This post contains affiliate links which means I may receive a commission if you click a link and make a purchase. Thank you for supporting my blog!

LifeStraw Go in Packaging

Water, we all need it to survive. It is said we can live without food for about 3 weeks, but water is a different story. Water makes up about 60% of the adult human body. It is essential to keep our bodies functioning. The estimate of how long a person could live without water seems to be a week (less in hotter conditions), but this is a generous estimate...three to four days is more likely. The dangers of dehydration are very real and could cause death in severe cases. Whether you are exploring the nearby nature trail or camping in the mountains, having access to clean drinking water is always a priority.

The LifeStraw Go by Vestergaard is a filtered water bottle that uses an advanced hollow fiber membrane technology to convert micro-biologically contaminated water into safe drinking water. The Lifestraw filters and removes 99.9999% of bacteria (E. coli, Salmonella, etc.) and 99.9% of protozoa (Giardia, Cryptosporidium, etc.), and some viruses. It will filter a total of 1,000 liters / 264 gallons to 0.2 microns over the filter's lifetime capacity. When the filter has reached its lifetime capacity it will stop taking in water. Since the water filter is detachable, you can simply purchase a replacement filter when the filter has reached capacity. The bottle can be reused indefinitely, saving waste from disposable plastic water bottles.

LifeStraw Go is durable, convenient, lightweight, safe and portable. It requires no: electricity, pumping, batteries, iodine, or chemicals to use. This filtered water bottle meets US EPA drinking water standards and is made of BPA free Tritan plastic. It has a handy carabiner to hook it to a backpack or belt loop so you always have it ready and accessible. LifeStraw Go holds 23 ounces of water and doesn't leak.

The LifeStraw Go is great to take with you different places where you might not have access to clean drinking water. Take the LifeStraw Go with you and rest assured that you will have clean drinking water on-the-go. It is ideal for:
  • hiking
  • biking
  • camping
  • travel
  • boating
  • fishing
  • running
  • trekking
  • survival
  • gift giving

The LifeStraw Go filtered water bottle is so easy-to-use. Just fill container with dirty or unfiltered water. Stop at any lake, river, pond, stream, or even a puddle to fill up the bottle. You can even drink directly from the LifeStraw by placing the end directly in the water. After filling screw on the lid and sip filtered water through the mouthpiece and straw. After each drinking session, unscrew the lid and blow through the LifeStraw to expel dirty water. The food-grade silicone mouthpiece is flexible which prevents it from chipping or cracking, and is also removable for easy cleaning.

I will be taking the LifeStraw Go filtered water bottle with me hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, camping, canoeing, kayaking, etc. Everywhere I go the water will taste amazing with LifeStraw Go and I don't have to worry about the water making me sick. It will be so wonderful to have a water bottle I can always rely on to have clean good tasting water any where I go.

LifeStraw Go is wonderful for trips overseas and cross country. This water bottle is also great for storing in a bug out bag or emergency preparedness kit. It makes a great stocking stuffer for anyone young, old, or in between.

LifeStraw Go and I.
Not only does LifeStraw Go provide clean drinking water to the user, but LifeStraw's 'Follow the Liters' campaign provides one school child in Africa with safe drinking water for an entire school year with the purchase of any LifeStraw water filter!

Preschool Rocks Curriculum Bundle Educents Deal and Sand & Water Sensory Activities Review

My girls, Zari and Teela, playing with water in the Sensory Table.
We received products free from Educents to facilitate this review.

Right now Educents is having a deal for the Preschool Rocks Curriculum Bundle! Get 19 Downloadable Products (982 pages) for only $29.99 (regularly $106)! That's a discount of 71%!

If you are doing Preschool with your little ones you should really check out this bundle on Educents for the awesome savings! These instant downloads cover letters, sounds, numbers, counting, colors, shapes, phonemic awareness, math, literacy, and much more! You will get printables, games, centers, and interactive activities you are sure to love! This is great for preschool teachers, homeschooling parents, and/or parents looking for supplemental activities.

I got to download the Sand and Water “Sensory” Table Task Cards and More by The Fun Factory for this review for free. These activities encourage imagination, observation, exploration, discovery, higher level thinking, problem-solving skills, building vocabulary, scaffolding learning, and small motor building. Retail price of $5 and 25 pages are included.

When Tatiana was still with us we received the Sand & Water Table we have now from a wonderful donor and now good friend of ours. Because Tatiana was blind she needed sensory activities to desensitize her of less desirable touch sensations: like gooey, sandy, or wet things. She was a bit tactally hypersensitive, but finally got to love bath time, eating yogurt, and the beach. It was a process of trial and error with the Sensory Table, but we are so very glad we had it to help her. I also made up a website of activities for totally blind babies, toddlers, and children while she was still alive to share what things worked well for my daughter.

The activities and ideas in the Sand and Water “Sensory” Table Task Cards and More are great to help you think of more ways than just water and sand to use with the "Sensory" Table. Some of the activity cards are categorized according to season, holiday or theme. I love themed activities and think that they are wonderful in teaching because they make learning more fun. These cards can be easily printed onto card stock and laminated for use over and over again with the table. We loved the hands-on ideas of filling the table with things to find and match with words or letter. The table could be used much like one of those eye spy games. We also loved the ideas of using small brooms/dustpans and mops so the littles can clean up their own messes when they are made. They also had ideas on what to use if you don't have a commercial sensory table. My kids love playing with the sand & water sensory table. It is great because you can use it so many ways. It is so versatile. You can also use it both indoors and outdoors too. I can't wait when the weather gets nice so that I can fully incorporate these into my homeschool lessons!

Shimmer & Splash The Sparkling World of Sealife by Jim Arnosky Book Review and Giveaway

I received this book for free to facilitate this review. This post has affiliate links.

Shimmer & Splash by Jim Arnosky is a great book about sea life. It has wonderful painted illustrations/penciled sketches and information about the creatures within the book. Some of the pages are giant fold-out pages of life-size fish and other underwater creatures. The contents are very helpful because they show which pages are fold-out.

This book has nearly 200 sea creatures, from a tiny Fiddler Crab to an enormous Orca Whale. This book has dolphins, sting rays, coral, sharks, whales, fish, jelly fish, crabs, etc. I love learning more about the ocean depths and its wildlife.

My favorite parts of the book were about the dolphins and whales because cetaceans are some of my favorite sea creatures because of their intelligence and playfulness. I also enjoyed learning about the coral reef. They are really very interesting, colorful, and have a wide range of shapes. My boys loved the parts about the sharks. We didn't know that there are so many different tail shapes from one shark to the next.

My family enjoyed this book immensely. It has been given an honorary spot on our shelf for ocean/sea related books. Yes, we have a whole bookshelf dedicated to those books, mainly dolphin and whale ones. I would highly recommend it for your home book collection or library! It is great for homeschooling or for the child who loves oceanography or marine-biology too because of all the neat educational information jam packed inside.

Zing Anything Citrus Zinger Review and Giveaway

I received a green Citrus Zinger for free to facilitate this review and the opportunity to also give one (in the color of winner's choice: green, orange or *pink) away.

When summer roles around, especially when the weather gets hot, we all need to remember to stay hydrated. I admit that I don't really like drinking plain water. Unless it is super cold with lots of ice I don't drink water as much as I should. I do love flavored water a lot though. I flavor my water all kinds of ways, but my favorites usually are with citrus fruits.

The Citrus Zinger from Zing Anything has become my new favorite water bottle. It makes delicious refreshing cold beverages with a citrus zing to them. It is very portable and great to take anywhere. I love it when I am on the go. I have definitely been drinking a lot more water since I got it.

The Citrus Zinger has a very unique design that basically puts a water bottle and a citrus reamer/juicer/press together into one very sweet little gadget. This water bottle works especially well for juicing small citrus fruits like: lemons, limes & bergamot, mandarin, tangerine and clementine oranges. Also, the citrus reamer/juicer/press works as a strainer too so any seeds and rind from the citrus fruit stays put in the bottom cup. The liquid that you place in the bottle will continually mix with the juice and a small amount of the pulp through the strainer while drinking.

The Citrus Zinger is made with America-Made BPA/EA-free Tritan plastics from Eastman. It fits perfectly in a cup holder and the cap has a finger hole for easy carrying. This water bottle is earth friendly because it is reusable. The bottle holds 28 ounces of fluid.

Tips:
  1. Before adding liquid you can also load ice into the bottle easily by turning the citrus reamer/juicer/press counter-clockwise then pulling it out from the wide end after first unscrewing the bottom cup.
  2. The liquid is always best when served cold so refrigerate it if you are not drinking it right away.
  3. I have also seen the Citrus Zinger used for juicing cucumbers (just thinly slice crosswise and place as many slices will fit in the cup with the fleshy part through the reamer) and kiwis (cut in half, then place half on the reamer, press for juicing and compost fuzzy peel). For a more intense flavor you can even press more than one citrus fruit into your bottle. You can even add a combination of the citrus with an herb such as mint leaves and/or a fruit such as berries to the cup to get a new flavor. Get creative. (I have more ideas on this post on flavoring water and ZingAnything.com has more recipes too.)
  4. You can Zing cold: water, sparkling/carbonated beverages, iced tea, etc.
  5. You don't have to add any refined sugar or artificial ingredients to make the perfect refreshing limeades, lemonades and orangeades. If you do find the mix a little sour try adding a little honey.
  6. The Citrus Zinger produces one-two drinks per Zing if you leave the rind in the bottom cup to help further infuse.
 Instructions:
  1. First unscrew the bottom cup of the Zinger. Then flip the bottle over onto its top cap.
  2. Wash and then cut the citrus fruit you are using in half crosswise. Take one of the halves and place the point of the reamer/juicer/press into the center of the flesh. Give it a good press and turn to extract the juice with the reamer/juicer/press.
  3. Once you think all the juice has been extracted from the citrus half you may leave the half over the reamer/juicer/press or you can discard compost the juiced citrus half.
  4. Replace the bottom cup onto the bottle and make sure it is sealed.
  5. Then add whatever liquid you would like to Zing through the small opening at the top after unscrewing the cap.
  6. Replace cap tightly and give it a good shake to infuse and blend the flavor and juice into the beverage.
  7. Remove cap and enjoy! (recommended shelf life if refrigerated is 3 days
  8. To clean: just discard compost the juiced citrus half after unscrewing the base cup. Remove citrus reamer/juicer/press by rotating counter-clockwise then pulling it out from the wide end. Remove the cap and give each piece a good rinsing with hot soapy water and then dry. It is also top rack dishwasher friendly.
BUY IT
You can purchase the Citrus Zinger from Zing Anything for $16.99. They come in green, orange and now pink! Zing Anything also has some other awesome products too, the Aqua Zinger and the Salad Zinger.
WIN IT
Prize: 1 winner will win a Citrus Zinger in their choice of green, orange or *pink free from Zing Anything.

Dog is Good Review

Dog is Good is a great online store consisting of wonderful items for pets and pet lovers alike! The DIG line includes many items such as apparel, accessories, mugs, cards and stickers. They even have an awesome Dog-Only Water Bottle of which I had the pleasure of testing for free from them for my dog, Prince. As you can see from the picture he took to it well and enjoyed the cool refreshing drink of water especially when we were on the road on trips. I wish I had this for him when we went on our cross country memorial tour because his bowl of water kept on spilling onto the floor of our van while we were moving. This water bottle is so convenient to take on bike trips too if your dog is trained to run along side you...it is the perfect size to fit in a pack, waterbottle holder, and/or cup holder. It has two openings: one for easy cleaning and filling and a smaller one that has the ball bearing that controls the water flow when your doggie licks it (think hamster water bottle and you will be on the right track). You can also unscrew the whole top of the bottle to use a cup for your dog to drink out of on those extra thirsty days. This is great to keep around for the summer when your dog needs to stay hydrated the most! It's BPA-free made of stainless steel and holds up to 24 ounces of water. Get one for your dog for only $21.99!

Dog is Good was launched in 2008 by Gila Kurtz, a professional dog trainer, and J. Nichole Smith, a professional pet photographer/designer, both of whom wanted a stylish way to capture and share "Dogvergnügen." Dogvergnügen is defined as "The unique joy you feel in the presence of Dog." DIG founders created the word and definition to give a name to the pure and complete happiness we all feel when we're with our dog.

DISCLOSURE/DISCLAIMER: Thanks to ChicExecs, a company which was created to promote small business campaigns, I was able to let you know about this product. Dog is Good provided me with the Dog-Only Water Bottle for free to test and review. My thoughts are mine and my family's own opinion and have not been altered by anyone else. Be Nice Prenatal Vitamin Drink Mix Review

I have been trying to keep healthy and hydrated during my pregnancy. I don't really like water all by itself...probably because my tap water at home isn't really the best tasting. That is why I wrote a post about naturally flavoring water. I saw a prenatal drink mix called Be Nice on another blog and wanted to try it for myself so I contacted the company and asked if I could review it. They sent me a box of 10 single serving size packets of each of their flavors for free to try and review. They make a Lemonade flavor and a Berrylicious flavor that is a blend of blueberry and strawberry.

I personally like the Lemonade flavor better than the Berrylicious one. They are actually a bit too sweet still for me so I end up adding more water or less powder. The flavors; however, may not appeal to all women. I love how compact and easy to take with you the individual packets are. Just add one packet to 16 fluid ounces of water and blend, shake or stir! Great also frozen into a Popsicle or icy cube for adding to other drinks.

Be Nice is a prenatal drink mix that keeps you hydrated while providing essential vitamins for moms-to-be and their growing fetuses, including folic acid to help reduce the risk of neural tube defects, and calcium and iron, which can easily become depleted during pregnancy. Along with those vitamins it also has vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D3, vitamin E, zinc, selenium and B-complex vitamins. These drink mixes also have DHA, docosahexaenoic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid that is naturally found in breast milk and fish (because of the algae they eat). It is crucial to the optimal development of the brain (At around 30-weeks gestation is the peak of brain development), eyes and nervous system in infancy and childhood. Be Nice uses Life'sDHA, which is plant-based (made from algae) and free from mercury, ocean-borne contaminants and hexane. Be Nice also contains no artificial flavorings, sweeteners or preservatives and it is sweetened with Stevia, an all-natural sweetener derived from the leaves of the stevia plant. These help quench thirst and are good to use before, during and after pregnancy.

Also, as a side note, their box is made from recycled materials and is printed with 100% wind energy.

Follow them on Twitter. Fan/Like them on Facebook.

BUY IT:
One box of 10 packets is on sale for $8.99 (reg. $13.99). For a case of 5 boxes (50 packets) it is $37.99 (reg. $41.99).

DISCLOSURE/DISCLAIMER: Thanks to Be Nice for sending me a free a box of 10 single serving size packets of each of their flavors, Lemonade and Berrylicious, for free to try and review. My thoughts are mine and my family's own opinion and have not been altered by anyone else. I did not receive any other compensation for doing this review.

Foodie Friday Cold Food and Drink for Hot Summer Days

COLD FOOD AND DRINK FOR HOT SUMMER DAYS:
When it is blazing hot I don't feel like cooking on the stove or in an oven. I want something light and cool! The above picture is of a berry sorbet I made. Here is my list of cold food and drink for hot summer days...

1. Salads: pasta salad, potato salad, fruit salad, egg salad, chicken salad, tuna salad, coleslaw, Waldorf salad, pickled beets, deviled eggs, etc.
2. Cold soups: gazpacho, borscht, okroshka, cucumber soup (you can add dill), avocado soup, spinach soup, squash soup, yogurt soup, celery soup
3. Desserts: ice cream, frozen yogurt, shaved ice, slushy, frozen custard, parfait, sorbet, sherbet, yogurt, pudding, popsicles, ice cream sandwiches, frozen pastries, granola, key lime pie, lemon meringue pie
4. Beverages: ice cold water, lemonade, limeade, iced tea, iced coffee, smoothies, milk shakes, soda floats, chilled yogurt drink, 100% juice drinks, fruit nectar, homemade ginger ale, frappe, sparkling cider or juice
5. Fruits: watermelon, mangos, kiwis, bananas, peaches, pears, citrus fruit (grapefruit, oranges, etc.), pineapple, avocado, frozen fruit (melon, grapes, berries, bananas, pineapple, peaches, etc.), fruit salad, Jell-O (add fruit, shredded carrots, mini marshmallows, nuts...if wanted, etc.), fruit and cottage cheese, fruit skewers, etc.
6. Sandwiches: cold deli sandwiches, pinwheel sandwiches, peanut butter and jelly, tuna, chicken salad, egg salad, BLT, tortilla wraps or pita sandwiches
7. Fancy breads: add...nuts, raisins, dates, shredded veggies (carrots, zucchini, squash, etc.)
8. BBQ or Grilled: anything cooked on a grill outside (for example corn on the cob, shish kabobs, grilled chicken, grilled fish, etc. Try to cut down on red meats.)
9. Raw veggies: celery, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, cucumber, green leafy, sprouts, radishes
10. Dip: hummus, bean dip, 7 layer dip, spinach dip, artichoke dip, ranch dressing, yogurt dip, salsa, fruit salsa, guacamole, peanut butter, fruit dip, etc.
11. Seafood: shrimp cocktail, ceviche, sushi
12. Cold pasta or grain: couscous, tabbouleh, pasta salad, cold peanut noodles, quinoa

NATURALLY FLAVORED WATER:
In the summertime you have to keep your body hydrated to stay healthy and prevent dehydration, exhaustion, and heat stroke. Alcoholic beverages are not really a good option because of their alcohol and high sugar content, which can quickly dehydrate you (although I believe that alcohol at any time is not good). Soda pop (even diet) in high quantities can also dehydrate you. If you are not big into the taste of drinking city water straight from the tap, like me, then you might want to try some of these awesome things to flavor your water with. You can also flavor your lemonade or iced teas with these too and make sure you go to my friend Darcey Blue's blog, Gaia's Gifts to see some yummy naturally flavored water recipes.:

1. Herbs, spices, edible flowers and extracts: mint (chocolate mint, apple mint, pineapple mint, spearmint, peppermint, etc.), basil, thyme, parsley, cilantro, catnip, marjoram, rosemary, chamomile, lavender, pansies, rose petals, red clover, ginger, bagged/flowering teas chilled, aloe, nettles, lemon balm, lemongrass, lemon verbena, vanilla extract, crushed cardamom seeds, cinnamon, etc.
2. Fruit and fruit juices: berries, pineapples, peaches, watermelon, kiwis, oranges, grapefruit, lemons, limes, pomegranate, tomato juice, fruit nectar, 100% juice added to mostly water, etc.
3. Vegetables and veggie juices: cucumber, carrot juice, wheat grass juice
4. Ice cubes: Freezing ice cubes with fruit or fruit juices and add it to your water. Frozen fruit works just as well.
5. Natural Sweeteners: stevia and honey (herbal infused honey is yummy too) are better options for sweetening than sugar or artificial sweeteners.

Do you have a favorite food or drink that you love during hot days? What other things do you love to flavor your water with? Please make a comment on this post.

Boon Flō Review and Giveaway

ABOUT FLO:
Flō is a protective faucet cover that guards against injuries caused by bumping or scraping against the hard metal faucet. It deflects the water creating a gentle waterfall making hair rinsing fun and easy. The stream of water can extend up to 12 inches in front of the faucet when the water is turned on. It also has a handy bubble bath dispenser for bath time fun. Parents can fill the bubble bath reservoir and let children dispense bubbles into the water by pressing the button on the front. It goes over the bathtub faucet easily with a spring-activated grip that requires no assembly or special installation while still allowing access to the shower diverter. Comes in blue and green.

MY THOUGHTS:
My kids love this product and ask for it now every time they take a bath. We received a blue Flō from Boon Inc. to test and review. Flō is great and makes it so easy to rinse sudsy hair. They love that it also has a bubble bath dispenser and that they can activate it with the touch of a button. I love knowing that it will keep my kids safe from hurting themselves on the faucet. It was easy to put over my faucet but my faucet is a bit squarer than others I have seen so it leaked some water out the back when the water was on. Flō definitely improves access to water flowing out of the faucet. Unfortunately my tub filled up very quickly when using Flō and if I let my tub drain while using Flō my kids got a little shivery. So Flō is a lot of fun because it makes a cool waterfall and rinses hair easier, but that waterfall also makes for large amounts of water and so should only really be used when quickly rinsing hair and making bubbles in the bath.
