I Believe Bunny by Tish Rabe Review

The I Believe Bunny hardcover book by Tish Rabe is the first book in a series. This book has delightful watercolor illustrations and is in rhyme. It is a sweet story about the power of prayer. It teaches kids how to have faith, believe in yourself, God is always here to help and with him everything will be alright. If only we had more faith in ourselves and God. We would be good to remember that God is with us always.

The Bunny in the story has lots of faith in God and thanks God for things even when it is rainy and miserable. He prays for strength and courage to help a small mouse that cannot swim. He overcomes his fears by praying to God. God sends Bunny's friends to help him.

I read this book to my kids and they enjoyed it. I love teaching them to believe in God and have faith in him. This book is a wonderful little addition to our library.

I am a Thomas Nelson Book Review Blogger and I thank them for providing me with this book to review.

Skipping Hippos Review and Giveaway

Skipping Hippos sent me a Dana Pool Poncho to review for my daughter, Teela. It is a beautiful rose pink colored stretch terry cloth with a double braid trim in shades of pink, lavender, and gray. It is so adorable on her!

The pool ponchos are lighter and made of soft stretch terry. They are specifically designed to be a pool cover, but I love to use the one we have for cool or rainy days we have in the spring/summer months. We love to take it to the beach/ocean with us because it is cool and breezy there. The regular ponchos are slightly heavier and made of fuzzy fleece. They are for chilly autumn/fall/winter months. At Skipping Hippos they not only have ponchos, but they also have jackets, coats, and ponchitos (smaller ponchos for your child's dolls).

It took me a while to decide which poncho I wanted because her products are all lovely! I finally narrowed it down to three choices... the Ava Pool Poncho, the Dana Pool Poncho, and the Elise Pool Poncho. I had my husband pick out the color he liked the most for Teela. He was being funny and since he has been in the Navy on a nuclear submarine and works now at a power plant as a Plant Equipment Operator he was calling the colors chilled water blue and reclaimed water purple. Anyway, we decided we liked the purple color better and received the Dana because the Ava became sold out and discontinued. I also love the Apple Poncho, Ophilia Poncho, Jennifer Poncho, Jodi Poncho, Margaret Poncho, Marlies Poncho, and Natalie Pool Poncho! My favorite jacket is the Day In May Raspberry!

The ponchos are great as baby shower gifts, birthday gifts for little ones, or Christmas gifts! The prices for the ponchos range from $12-$46. They have a variety of colors and trimmings to choose from and sizes range from 6-12months to 6X.

Win it! Jolie at Skipping Hippos is giving one lucky reader a poncho that is $15 or under of their choice.

Bra Barrette Review and Giveaway

Ladies, if you haven't heard of the Bra Barrette you are missing out on a great little gadget. Bra Barrettes are made of a flexible, durable plastic that simply fixes your straps so they won't go anywhere. I hate when my bra straps slide down my shoulders! But, don't let the name deceive you. This isn't just for bra straps! I also wear mine with my: spaghetti strap tank tops and strappy dresses over t-shirts to sport that fashionable but still modest look, camisole straps under a dress shirt or jacket, and swimsuit. It is so comfortable that sometimes I forget I am even wearing it. I received the yellow Hibiscus charm with silver Bra Barrette and a plain clear one to try out. Unfortunately, I didn't have much that matched the yellow Hibiscus charm with silver Bra Barrette except for my bathing suit. I guess it is time for me to go clothes shopping or maybe Bra Barrette shopping :)

Since these also come in a variety of colors and styles to choose from you can pick from plain to hold straps under a shirt to ones with Swarovski crystals to go with that little black dress and bring some bling to your back. They are also going to be unveiling more sizes very soon to accommodate the very petite and the broader shouldered woman. You can even mix and match charms with the Charmed line of Bra Barrettes.

My favorites are the Dolphin Charmed Copper, Swarovski Crystal Volcano Teardrop, Antique Multi-Colored Crystals Drop, Plumeria, CRYSTALLIZED - Swarovski Elements AB Crystal De Art, Copper Filigree Teardrop Charmed Black, Pink Orange Flower Charmed Silver, and the Sealife Charm Pack.

Thanks to ChicExecs, a company which was created to promote small business campaigns, I was able to let you know about this product.

Win it! Lara at Bra Barrette is giving one lucky reader a Conceal and Reveal Pack.

Mandatory:
1. Go to the Bra Barrette website and tell me what other item(s) you like from their store.

Happy Green Bee Review

Happy Green Bee is an organic kids clothing store. They have bright colors and their clothing looks wonderfully fun and comfortable to be in. They make their clothes from organic cotton and use non-toxic dyes and no chemical bleaches or finishers. Organic cotton does not contain any harmful residues or pollutants left behind from toxins and is better for sensitive skin. Fabric made from organic cotton is softer, breaths better, and lasts longer than regular cotton. They also have accessories like hats, tights, and socks and gifts such as dolls, blankets, and the Mom's on the Go Kit. You can become a fan of Happy Green Bee on Facebook.

Happy Green Bee was good enough to let me try out the new Mom's on the Go Kit. It has 6 products and a book that is printed on recycled paper all in a convenient see through zippered case.

The book that is called "Giggles, Riddles, and Rhymes To Read Out Loud" is delightful! It has pictures throughout its pages of kids and infants in Happy Green Bee clothing and sweet poetry...most of which I haven't heard of. Also, because the book was placed in the case with the products it smells of wonderful herbs and essences.

My son, Jaedan, shown here is holding the tooth fairy tin that also came in the kit. He recently lost three teeth...so I thought it would be appropriate to give him the tin to hold them :)

The herbal room spray uses all natural essential oils of pine, peppermint, lavender, and lemon that are both anti-bacterial and non-toxic. It helps freshen a room and soothes baby. At first I thought that all those essential oils put together wouldn't have a pleasant smell, but I really liked it and my daughters, Teela and Tatiana, did too when I sprayed it in their room.

The calendula oil is organically made and is an infusion with sweet almond, sesame, and olive oil. It also has lavender essential oil to calm baby when used. I used it on Teela after a bath and boy did she love the baby massage I gave her with it.

The laundry liquid in the kit is non-toxic, biodegradable and eco-friendly so you don't have to worry about it harming your skin, septic system, or the environment. It is made from renewable plant based ingredients including corn, coconut, and palm oil. It made my whole laundry room smell wonderful when I washed a load of clothing with it and it got them clean and smelling fresh.

The all natural diaper ointment that comes in the kit is not only for baby's bottom. I was told by Mari Sullivan of HGB Marketing that she uses it for dry skin and to treat fly away hair. It has organic comfrey infused with olive, pumpkin seed, and apricot kernel oils along with vitamin E and lavender oil. Comfrey contains allantoin, that speeds up the natural replacement of body cells so this ointment is perfect for putting on a number of different kinds of owies.

Last, but not least is an apple tree growing kit. It contains a peat pellet, fine gravel, Common Apple seeds, and instructions on how to grow it from seed. What a wonderful addition to the kit this is because an apple tree will produce yummy fruit for years to come!

I have some favorites from their shop! I love the Watermelon Sky color for everything especially the Petal Dress, A-Line Sundress, Chemise, Skort, Reversible Hoodie, Stripey Leggings, Girls Sport Suit, Abbee and Amber Doll, Tights. I also like the Muffin Hat (just wish the Muffin Hat came in more colors than just Radish). I also love the Blueberry/Sky color.

LTDchix Review and Giveaway

The people that know me well know that I am a mom that wouldn't trade motherhood for anything even with all the chaos and insanity of it all!! I have 4 kids! Two of which are rambunctious adventuresome boys (8 and 7 years old). The other two are a special needs, medically involved 5 year old daughter and a breastfed, pampered one year old daughter. I know hectic when I see it! So, when I was asked to review a t-shirt from LTDchix I jumped at the chance. I received a medium fitted Multi-Tasking Mom short sleeve t-shirt in Sherbert/White from the ladies at LTDchix to review.

Nina Frye and Cindi Schmitzer are very talented ladies that traded their working, paying jobs out in the corporate jungle for motherhood. LTDchix was born from the realization that the idea of a perfect motherhood was far from reality, that they had stepped into a very different kind of jungle, and loved every crazy moment of it! In their own words... "We came to a few conclusions that day. First: this was it. We were Living the Dream. Being a Mom really is tough sometimes, we’re faced fairly often with some pretty insane and chaotic situations, and WE LOVE IT! We wouldn’t trade it for the world!". I really couldn't have put it more beautifully myself! This is exactly how I feel!

The t-shirts on their website are illustrated with a very happy looking mom that is overwhelmed by some task/chore of daily mommy life. These are just too cute! I just wish all of the designs came in all the colors, styles, and sizes they have...not just a few to pick from. The t-shirts are made from 100 percent cotton and are very comfortable to wear. Moms in any situation can relate at some point in their lives to the LTDchix signature mom. I know I can!

Win it! Nina at LTDchix is generously giving one Laundry Mom t-shirt in short sleeve. You can choose a fitted style in lipstick/light pink or sherbert/white OR a loose style in light blue. The fitted is size S-XL and the loose is size S–2XL. Please note that fitted t-shirts run a size small.

Mandatory:
1. Go to the LTDchix website and tell me which short sleeve Laundry mom t-shirt you want.

Weleda Review

Weleda is a company that produces the finest Biodynamic, organic, and natural skin and baby care products. They do not test their products or ingredients on animals. They use 100 percent natural oils and pure essential oils which also give needed pure nutrients, like vitamins to the skin and hair. Their products are also free from synthetics.

I received three Weleda Baby care products to test and review. All three products have a wonderful sweet fragrance and Calendula in them. Calendula is known as a medicinal plant as it aids in the healing processes of the skin. The first product I tried was the Calendula Shampoo & Body Wash. It is milky white in color and lathered very well in Teela's hair. She was enjoying herself as you can see in the pictures :)
The shampoo and body wash is also tear free and gentle to the skin and eyes. She smelled really good when she was done bathing. I couldn't keep from kissing her and blowing on her bare belly :) Then I used the Calendula Oil to give her a baby massage. She sure enjoyed that and her skin felt so very soft and warm. The next product I tried was the Calendula Diaper Care. It is an ointment cream for diaper rash relief and keeping baby's bum protected. I was very pleased with how well it worked on Teela's delicate skin. She also slept really well that night I might add.

I also signed up for their WE magazine which I received the other day. It has free coupons inside and tells more about their company. I loved reading it. Among the things I learned was that with each purchase of Weleda Everon Lip Balm, made from beeswax from bees in Tanzania you'll help save an invaluable member of our ecosystem. 100 percent of the sale will go to the Bee Sanctuary of Spikenard Farm and "Vanishing of the Bees".

Also, if you live in the USA you can buy Weleda products at your local Target, Whole Foods, and select health food stores. I urge you to go to the Weleda website, get more special offers, and learn more about this wonderful company. Also, you can follow them on Twitter, become a fan of them on Facebook, and a fan of the Weleda USA on Facebook.

SafetyCaps Review and Giveaway

SafetyCaps are outlet covers/caps that are safer than regular outlet covers/caps. They were made by a father that almost lost his daughter when she choked on a regular outlet plug cover. SafetyCaps are 2 1/4 inches across. Other outlet plugs measure only 1 3/8 inches across. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Dorel Juvenile Group both puts out a Choke Hazard Tester or Small Parts Test Fixture (SPTF), a clear plastic tube that you can put things into to test out if they are a choking hazard. I too have one of these and tested this product out. Sure enough the SafetyCap didn't go in. You can buy one of these handy Small Parts Test Fixtures (SPTF) at OneStepAhead. I also had another brand of safety outlet cover (not going to mention what brand here) that I tested. It too didn't fit in the tube, but it was very close to fitting...too close for comfort! I could now see why the SafetyCaps were so much safer than regular ones.

Not only that but the SafetyCaps are clear so they blend in with the outlet cover whatever color it might be. If somehow swallowed they also have holes in the shield that are an added extra safety feature. The holes comply with US pacifier anti-choking regulations.

Win it! George at SafetyCaps is generously giving one 24 pack of SafetyCaps away for my blog giveaway.

Go to the SafetyCaps website and tell me one thing you learned about SafetyCaps.

SKOY Cloth Review and Giveaway

This is absolutely hands down my new favorite cleaning product! SKOY gave me 2 packs of SKOY cloths to test out. I have tested SKOY cloths with everything from scrubbing crusted on dishes to wiping up spills. You can use them over and over again. I have washed them in the washing machine and dried them many times now and they come out looking good as new. I have found that drying them in the dryer shrinks them until you put water on them again and then they go back to normal size. I recommend the lowest setting on your dryer or to air dry them. They are very heavy duty and last a long time. They soak up spills very well. Just the other day my littlest got a hold of a cup of milk on the kids' table and it went all over. SKOY came to my rescue and sopped up every last little drip. These things are fabulous! They are so much better than a paper towel or napkin!

My boys were thrilled with this product as well. They used one to clean the bathroom and when they cleaned the faucet and the mirror with it they both shined...no streaks and no residue like what paper towels or napkins leave behind. They made them gleam even better than using newspaper.

I have no qualms about this product. I am, however; disappointed that their website is not browser friendly. I primarily use Firefox at home and had to switch to Explorer to view the website as intended. Maybe they are not aware of this fact. I hope they take it into consideration to view it in different browsers so that they can make it viewable in all browsers. I can overlook this at the moment because of how fantastic this product is.

Win it! Michelle at SKOY cloth is generously giving one 4 pack away for two of my readers who enter my blog giveaway (colors may vary). That's two winners!!

Mandatory:
Go to the SKOY cloth website and tell me one thing you learned about SKOY cloth.

Additional entries:

Piggy Paint Review and Giveaway

I received a bottle of Piggy Paint nail polish in a beautiful shade of Girls Rule! pink and a bottle of nail polish remover to review. Piggy Paint nail polish is a non-toxic, odorless (less odor than other nail polishes), hypoallergenic, kid-friendly (adult-friendly too), water based polish. "Natural as mud"...their slogan reads. Most nail polish is solvent based, flammable, and have toxic ingredients like formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetate and acetone. This polish isn't and doesn't contain any of those harmful ingredients. I was pleased with the quality of the polish and how it dried quickly.

The nail polish remover has aloe vera and vitamin E in it so that it will supply the nails and cuticles with much needed natural oils that protect them. It does have one ingredient that I was concerned about. It has Methyl alcohol in it, however; Melanie assured me that it is non-toxic in the small quantities that would be used on the nails. In the event that a child tried to drink the polish remover, an embittering agent is also an ingredient in the remover to make it taste absolutely horrible. You should always watch your children with either of these products and keep them safely out of reach when not in use even though they are a lot safer than regular nail polish and remover.

I am very happy with Piggy Paint products and they are definitely safer and a lot better for your nails than regular polishes and removers. The quality is also comparable to regular polishes and removers. I really feel overall that these are great products! Here is a picture of me with my finger and toe nails painted with Piggy Paint Girls Rule! :)

Their Little Miss Firecracker Gift Pack normally retails for $26.50, but it is on sale now for just $22.50 (15% off retail - limited time). Buy it before the 4th of July!

Win it! Melanie at Piggy Paint is generously giving one gift pack of your choice away for my blog giveaway.

Mandatory:
Go to the Piggy Paint website and tell me which Piggy Paint gift pack you would love.

Additional entries:
1. Subscribe to my blog by blogger, by email, or both and let me know. (1 extra entry)
