About Me

I am a member of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints. I am a mother to two teens, two adults, and one very sweet girl of whom we all miss dearly, who passed away at age 6 in April of 2010. I am also a wife to a fabulous, supporting husband. I have a dog, a mini pony, five horses, two llamas and two chickens. My nickname and pen name, Finamoon, I coined out of the two words: dolphin and moon because I love the ocean and looking at the night sky.

We've lived in Rainier, Oregon since 2006. We bought a 5 and a half acre farm in 2012 in the valley of Rainier with two houses, lean-to, chicken coop, and a barn and have been transforming it into our haven little by little. Rainier is right across the Columbia River from Longview, Washington and we are about an hour and 30 minutes drive to both Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington. In April of 2016 I graduated from the Master Gardeners course in Columbia County Oregon. I love Oregon and love to blog about where I live, things to do here, and products that are local to both Oregon and Washington.

I named my blog Eccentric Eclectic Woman because that is essentially what I am. Eccentric means unconventional, slightly strange and eclectic means deriving ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources. I love things that are whimsical or that are playfully quaint or fanciful, esp. in an appealing and amusing way. Some things I love and am interested in: blogging, reading, cooking, crafting, photography, cosplaying, role-playing, larping, learning about other cultures and customs, nutrition, homeschooling, homemaking, self sufficiency, permaculture, being eco-friendly, nature, gardening, herbalism, farming, homesteading, wild crafting, foraging, country and natural living, preparedness, mothering and child rearing :) I love showing off my loves on Pinterest... http://pinterest.com/finamoon/

My blog is PR Friendly. I love being in-the-know about new products. If you'd like to send me some to review I'd be happy to consider you, just email me at finamoon AT gmail DOT com
