Foodie Friday Sausage Okra Jambalaya Gumbo Creole

Sausage Okra Jambalaya Gumbo Creole

1 lb Italian sausage, ground
1 bag frozen okra, cut
1 pkg mushrooms, sliced
1 green pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, diced
2 stalks celery, chopped
2 cans diced tomatoes
2 cans tomato sauce
Zatarain's Creole Seasoning to taste
oregano to taste
garlic powder to taste (If you want to substitute minced garlic just add it to the sauteed veggies.)
Lawry's Seasoned Pepper to taste
3 cups long grain white rice, cooked

In a large skillet cook the sausage until browned. Add okra, mushrooms, green pepper, onion, and celery and saute until onions are see through. Add diced tomatoes and tomato sauce and simmer until bubbling. Add seasonings to taste and mix everything together with the cooked rice in a large pot. Stir on medium heat until heated throughout. Serve.
