The Abide Bible is a bible that is a great for scripture study. You can choose from the NKJV (New King James Version) or NET (New English Translation). For the NET version you can pick from 3 different covers: Blue Cloth-bound Hardcover, Brown Leathersoft, and Stone Leathersoft. The leathersoft versions are made of imitation leather with a Smyth-sewn binding which allows it to lay flat while open. It also has two different colored ribbon bookmarks to keep your place while you read. This bible is in an easy to read language and in Comfort Print®.

Features Include:

Bible Trailer:

My Thoughts:

I received the NET (New English Translation) Brown Leathersoft version even though I requested the Stone Leathersoft version because the Stone Leathersoft was on backorder and they were not sure when they would get them in. Even though I didn't get the cover I wanted this bible has a very nice brown imitation leather cover. It came in a sturdy box that protected it from getting damaged in shipping and also keeps it neatly tucked away in after being read, so that it stays nice. I like that it also goes through the features inside the bible on the first page and also has a inscription page in case you are gifting this bible to a friend or family member. I also love that it has "how to use this bible" explanation pages and an introduction of the NET if you are not really familiar with it. It also has a 365-Day Bible-Reading Plan in color to follow in your reading. My absolute favorite aspect of this bible is the Engage Through Art pages. These have full color pictures of art pertaining to the scriptures you have read and a description of the art piece to go with it. I also love all the other prompts and there are so many different ones to delve deeper in the Word of the Lord. I love that this bible is basically a devotional in a bible. Each book of the bible also has a historical and literary context and what you should do to prepare as you read further.

This bible is heirloom quality. It has a faux leather cover with binding that allows it to lay flat when opened. I love this because struggling with keeping a book open while reading is definitely not fun. Also, the full color pictures inside are fabulous. This bible has gold lettering on the cover and spine that says the title and gilded gold outer edges to the pages, as well. It also has two different colored attached ribbon bookmarks to keep your place.

I highly recommend the Abide Bible to further your understanding of the bible and to deepen your faith in God. I can't wait to immerse myself with the tools that this bible provides.

There is a free 21 day bible study through the book of John that is available as part of the Bible launch. Please sign up here: https://bit.ly/3tY50db

Kids Faith Krate Review #kidsfaithkrate #disciplechildren #raisethemup #kidsbiblestudy #subscriptionbox

One of the Kids Faith Krate Boxes.

Disclaimer: I received complimentary product through FrontGate Media in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way.

Days can be hectic. Busy schedules get in the way of spending quality time with the family. Kids Faith Krate can help you focus on what matters and grow your faith together in family discipleship.

Kids Faith Krate is a monthly Christian faith based subscription box for kids a. The hands-on crafts that come in the boxes change from month to month and are best suited for ages 4-10. They can fit craft supplies for up to 3 children in one box. The price goes up depending upon how many kids you would like to have craft supplies for. Boxes are delivered at the beginning of every month so that you will have all 4 weeks to do the material.

What’s Inside All Kids Faith Krate Boxes?

1. Four weekly Bible lessons to do with your child!
2. Four crafts to go along with each week's lessons.
3. A new stamp every month to add to your Stamp Collection for scripture memorization!

In each box is a booklet that guides the parents through the process of helping the child along. It also includes most the items you will need for the crafts and activities. In the guide booklet there is an overview for the parents and 4 complete lessons. Each week's lesson has a key to the krate (a main theme), read together (a scripture and discussion), create together (the craft instructions), talk together (questions to think about and discuss together), remember together (a memorization scripture), and handle with prayer (a prayer you can say together that goes along with a scripture). There is also a stamp in every box to collect every month to make the memorization of the scripture a little more special for the child.

Kids Faith Krate June Camp Compassion Box.

We received the Kids Faith Krate June box early. The theme of this box is Camp Compassion. It goes through 4 lessons, one for each week of the month of June: Compassion for the Hungry, Compassion for the Sick, Compassion for the Needy, and Compassion for the World. Each lesson has scriptures and crafts or activities that go along with the lesson.

I love that there is a guide to show the parents what to do and that it goes through step-by-step what you need to do with your child. My favorite activity in this box was a baking activity where you get to bake a loaf of bread with your child after they decorate a bread napkin themselves. I love that the bread napkin is made of reusable cloth that the loaf can be wrapped in and becomes unique once decorated by the child. After they make the loaf and napkin, they give the wrapped loaf away to someone that might need it. I love this lesson and humble act that teaches compassion and sacrifice.

Make sure you look over what is needed for each project before hand so you will not be missing an item when you go and do the project. Some things you will have to acquire or have on hand at home. The bread ingredients were not in the box, just the recipe. There is also a blanket activity which only includes 4 squares of fleece like material that the child ties together. It suggests that you could make it a larger blanket if you had more of the same kind of fabric to add to it to make more squares. When I opened the box up I noticed that the items were mostly loose in the box, but I inventoried and found that everything was there. I do appreciate that they are probably trying to limit plastic. They seem to have just enough of the material that they provided to create the crafts successfully with anything that you do need at home listed so that you will know what you will need if it is not provided in the box.

Holly Lane wrapped in decorative tissue paper and ribbon.

What We Thought:

I received the Esther Necklace from Holly Lane. When I opened the box it had arrived in I was in awe of the lovely way it was wrapped and presented. Inside the parcel was a magnificently gift-wrapped bundle. It was enclosed in decorative tissue paper with flecks of gold, a blue ribbon, and a gold embossed sticker with a crowned bird on it. Once I gently unwrapped that I first found a card with a bit about the company and a sheet with my order information.

The small jewelry box is uncovered.

Under that was a nest of shredded brown paper. In the center of the nest was a sticker with waves and the words, Be Still Psalm 46:10 and the Holly Lane logo in the lower corner. Under the sticker was a small box that opened with a ribbon tab like a drawer. The floral lined drawer held the Esther Story Card on top of a velvet pouch with the necklace inside.

The Story Card and jewelry pouch are revealed inside the drawer of the box.

After admiring and unraveling all of the intricate wrapping I finally beheld the Esther Necklace. The jewelry piece is so gorgeous! The pendant has a lovely geometric flower radiating from the center over a Star of David that represents Esther's beauty and influence as well as her heritage and faith. I love how it says, "You Make Me Brave" on the backside of the pendant too. Its two-tone sterling silver chain is adjustable up to 20" and is just as beautiful as the other details. Dangling from the chain are fine silver beads and iridescent freshwater pearls. The finishing touch is an 8mm genuine amethyst in a pretty bezel setting to represent Esther's royal position. I love the deep purple color of the amethyst! Amethysts are such pretty crystals. This necklace is a testament to that in which: if we have faith in God, He will help us be brave in the situations that we need to be brave the most.

The gorgeous Esther Necklace, back and front of the pendant.

Here you can see how the jewelry is crafted:

Me wearing my Esther Necklace from Holly Lane.

I would highly recommend Holly Lane Jewelry! Their level of craftsmanship and attention to detail in both their jewelry and packaging is outstanding. Christmas is coming soon and their unique jewelry would be an exceptional gift for your someone special.

CSB (in)courage Devotional Bible Review and Giveaway

I received this book free to facilitate this review. Affiliate links may be in this posting. Thanks for supporting my blog.

The Christian Standard Bible (CSB) (in)courage Devotional Bible is a lovely Bible for women that is all about finding your own story within God's story of redemption. It has 52 reflective devotions that begin each week of scripture reading. These reflective devotions include questions and space for journaling. Each book of the Bible has an introduction which includes historical background, the message of the book, and why the book is important and applicable today. There are also ten themes within this Bible each holding a message. These are color coded and marked with a design. Each theme corresponds with reading plan, devotions, women of courage, and two beautifully designed scripture verses. Each theme has one verse from both the Old and New Testaments. These verses have artistic touches to aid in memorization and represent the beauty of God's word. Each theme has a specific reading plan that corresponds with Bible passages and devotions. These go from 5 to 7 weeks. Fifty women throughout the Bible are highlighted and these are connected with the themes.

"The CSB (in)courage Devotional Bible features the highly readable, highly reliable text of the Christian Standard Bible (CSB). The CSB stays as literal as possible to the Bible's original meaning without sacrificing clarity, making it easier to engage with Scripture's life-transforming message and to share it with others."

Features include:

• 312 Devotions by 122 (in)courage community writers
• 10 distinct thematic Reading Plans
• 66 Book Introductions connecting each book of the Bible to the whole biblical narrative
• Stories of courage from 50 women of the Bible
• Journaling space
• Topical index
• Two-column text
• Theme verses
• Specialized presentation page

What I Thought:

I received the green cloth over board version without tabs. The cover is embossed with silver lettering and has a partial slipcase. It has 2 ribbon bookmarks, one is dark green and one is cream colored to match the book. Having two bookmarks is a nice touch.

The pages are thin and delicate like many Bibles. This Bible starts out with a commitment page to sign and write in. Then the table of contents shows a letter from the editor, how to read the Bible, God's story of redemption, features, devotional theme guide, introduction to the CSB, and introduction to Bible serif...all in the beginning of the book. Both old and new testament are present. There is lots of margin space to write notes and at the bottom of the verses there is lined journaling space to write thoughts or feelings. Then at the end of the book there are multiple reading plans, women of courage index, topic index, and meet the (in)courage Devotional Bible team and authors.

(in)courage Devotional Bible Women of Courage - Meet Naomi.

Since it is coming up on Thanksgiving I found the gratitude plan in the back to start out my devotional study. I love how this book is set up with God's word, authors devotionals, and lines to put in your thoughts and stories. This Bible is great for women who need some encouragement in their lives.

365 Bible Answers for Curious Kids Review and Giveaway

I received this book free to facilitate this review. Affiliate links may be in this posting. Thanks for supporting my blog.

Kathryn Slattery is most well known for her role as contributing editor for Guideposts Magazine. She is also an author to many books, including: If I Could Ask God Anything, My Friend Jesus, Heart Songs, Lost & Found, Grandma I’ll Miss You, The Gospel for Kids and The Grace to Grow. Her newest book is 365 Bible Answers for Curious Kids.

365 Bible Answers for Curious Kids Book

365 Bible Answers for Curious Kids is a hardcover devotional book for kids that answers questions about God, the Bible, and faith. It has 392 pages and it is a small manageable 8"X9" size. This year long daily devotional book helps parents answer these sometimes difficult questions in a way that children will understand. It references Bible scriptures throughout to cover these theological, historical, and faith topics as well. This will cover these as well as Christian traditions, the historic growth of Christianity, how to become a Christian, and what it means to be a Christian in today's world. It also has a helpful index of questions in the back to help you find the question and date easily that includes the following topics: time; God; God’s promises; Jesus; God’s Holy Spirit; the Bible; the Old Testament; the New Testament; Christianity; prayer; the Church; Christian seasons, holidays, and traditions; being a Christian here and now; and eternity. These devotionals can be read on their own at any time, and many include a "Want to know more?" cross-referencing section at the bottom of the devotional for the extra-curious child who wants to learn more. Recommended for ages 7-10 year olds.

A look inside 365 Bible Answers for Curious Kids.

What I Thought:
If your kids are as inquisitive as mine then you might appreciate this devotional. It starts in January and ends in December, covering all 365 days of the year. The 392 pages are loaded with information. Each devotional has a month & day, title question, a scripture, a reading to answer the question, a prayer, and sometimes a "Want to know more?" cross reference.

I was very curious at what questions this book covered, so I went through it first myself and I am very glad I did. There are a lot of information about holidays and saints that I was not familiar with. I believe this book to be of catholic origin because of those references and the question of "What Does the Word Catholic Mean?". I am christian and LDS and so these things were interesting to me to learn and I would be open to teach my kids about them. But, I also found inconsistencies with some of the answers and my church's religious teachings... like for example the answer about the Trinity. In this book it states that God is made up of three people: God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit; but in my religion we believe that the Godhead/Trinity are three separate beings with distinct roles, but all one in purpose and doctrine. There are other inconsistencies as well so I thought it best to not give this outright to my children to read.

This book is not going to appeal to everyone. I feel that parts of this book were not right for my family. I highly suggest that if you do get this book you read it first as a parent to see if it is right for your family.

Indescribable: 100 Devotions for Kids About God and Science Review and Giveaway

I received this book free to facilitate this review. Affiliate links may be in this posting. Thanks for supporting my blog.

Indescribable: 100 Devotions for Kids About God and Science is Pastor of Passion City Church and bestselling author, Louie Giglio's, first-ever children's book. It comes as hardcover devotional book and is illustrated by Nicola Anderson with fun four-color illustrations. Based on Louie Giglio's series for adults called Indescribable and  this book brings the amazing message of God's incredible creation to kids through scientific fact. It lays out the impressiveness of creation with scientific findings, photography, and delightful illustrations. Each devotion includes Scripture, a relevant illustration, a story, a life application, a prayer, and a fascinating science section called "Be Amazed". The "Be Amazed" section includes fun facts to read and science experiments kids can try. Great for ages 6-10.

These 100 devotions encourage wonder at God’s creativity with an in-depth look at...

• Space: Galaxies, Planets, and Stars

• Earth: Geology, Oceans, and Weather

• Animals: from Hummingbirds to Dinosaurs

• People: Our Minds, Bodies, and Imaginations

Inside Indescribable Sneak Peek.

What I Thought:
This devotional is unique and definitely gets you thinking. The science is enjoyable to read about and the topics engaging. I even learned stuff while reading the devotions to my kids! The author does, however, take a very literal view of the Bible which at times can take interesting twists and turns with the "facts". For example the 3rd devotion talks about how dragons were real and mentioned in the bible because of a scripture in Job. This might be stretching it a bit, but the scriptures do make you wonder what they could have been talking about.

The book is very nicely printed. The text is a bit small for my youngest, but still readable. The illustrations are adorable. The full color photos add depth to the awesome facts about science as well.

My kids and I loved reading these devotions and learning about both science and faith. I agree with the author that God is an unparalleled creator with an exhaustive imagination. Indescribable: 100 Devotions for Kids About God and Science  This would be a fabulous resource for homeschool, Sunday School, and other Christian Schools/Programs.

Jesus Always: 365 Devotions for Kids Book Review and Giveaway

I received this book free to facilitate this review. Affiliate links may be in this posting. Thanks for supporting my blog.

The Jesus Always: 365 Devotions for Kids book is by Sarah Young, the bestselling author of Jesus Calling. This is Sarah Young’s newest 365-day devotional for kids adapted by Tama Fortner. In this hardcover book she focuses on the biblical teaching of joy we can experience at any time and in all circumstances with scripture and new personal reflections to children. Adapted from the bestselling Jesus Always, each day’s devotion has the same theme as the adult version, as well as written-out Scriptures. It is a wonderful choice for families to read and discuss during devotional time together. Written as if Jesus Himself is speaking directly to the reader, Jesus Always: 365 Devotions for Kids will engage your children and help them connect to Jesus and find joy. Recommended for children ages 8-12.

Teela reading the Jesus Always: 365 Devotions for Kids Book.

What We Thought:
This is my first devotional from Sarah Young and it is just wonderful. The introduction in the book is written by the author and has a personal feel. The way this devotional is written, like it is straight from Jesus is different. Each day has a theme and scripture at the top of the page...then it goes into thoughts and feelings that Jesus might have for the child and recommendations of what the child should do to make their day full of Christ and joy. At the bottom of the page is a Read On Your Own scriptures from the Bible for the child to explore on their own. I had to explain to my children that this was written as if Jesus was speaking. Teela, my 9 year old daughter, really enjoyed reading these. They are thought provoking and make the reader feel loved.

Israel - God's Heart: Landscapes and Legacy of Israel Book Review

In the book, Israel - God's Heart: Landscapes and Legacy of Israel (Skypics Israel, November 2016), top aerial photographer Ron Gafni shares his love of Israel's beauty from above. We soar across skies to see stunning photographs of ancient ruins, historic sites, and view vignette's of Israel's modern lifestyles in this book that brings Holy scripture alive. Author Kathleen Barrett offers thoughtful narrative with Christian scripture pointing to God's redemption plan for the world.

My Thoughts:
This small hardback book holds many breathtaking photographs of scenic places in Israel. I love looking at the pictures and hope someday I can actually visit these epic places from the bible. I love the reflective nature of the author's words. They remind me of God's almighty plan for us and His infinite wisdom. This book, though small, is impressive and would be a wonderful coffee table book or conversation piece. I highly recommend it to all who would love to learn more about the Holy Land and have a captivating scriptural journey with gorgeous photos along the way.

Armed With Truth Temporary Scripture Tattoos Review & Giveaway #armedwithtruth

Armed With Truth Temporary Scripture Tattoos.

I received these products free to facilitate this review. Affiliate links may be in this posting. Thanks for supporting my blog.

Armed With Truth is a wonderful company that gives you little reminders of God's Word, truth, and promises through temporary tattoos that you can wear. These have scriptures and words that are great for inspiration and memorization. The tattoos are safe & non-toxic, made in the USA, and made with soy based ink. Most of the scriptures are taken from the Holy Bible, New International Readers Version, NIRV. Typically these temporary tattoos last about 3 to 5 days. This gives you enough time to memorize the Scripture before you apply the next one.

There are different packs that you can choose from. The verse packs come in packs of 10 scripture verses that surround a theme, like: Fearless, Identity, Missions, Kids, Christ Like, Blessed (The Beatitudes), etc. The Designer series are made by letter artists that share a biblical truth. Greek tattoo packs are favorite words from the New Testament in original Greek. There is also a custom pack where you can pick a favorite verse and Armed With Truth will make you 50-100 temporary tattoos with that verse in about three weeks to hand out to family, friends, and colleagues.

How To Apply:

1. Clean and dry the area of skin.
2. Remove the clear plastic protective sheet.
3. Press tattoo firmly onto clean dry skin with text facing down
4. Hold wet cloth against back of tattoo, press down and make sure to wet it thoroughly.
5. Wait 30 seconds (don't rush).
6. Peel off paper backing.

Armed With Truth Temporary Scripture Tattoo Packs.

What We Thought:
Armed With Truth water transfer tattoos are a gentle and beautiful reminder of our favorite scriptures, words, and thoughts that help us to reflect about The Word of God often. We loved how easily these temporary tattoos could be applied to the skin. They are a great way to keep The Lord in your heart and mind all throughout the day.

Not Grow Weary Designer Series Tattoo.

We received the Kids pack and the Designer series Not Grow Weary by Joseph Alessio. The Kids pack has 10 different Scriptures that are easy for kids and others to memorize. Verses include: Psalm 136:1, Proverbs 3:5, Psalm 56:3, Psalm 119:105, John 3:16, Hebrews 13:8, Hebrews 11:1, James 1:17, Philippians 2:3-4, Deuteronomy 6:5 all in NIRV. Not Grow Weary by Joseph Alessio pack comes with two tattoos of this design. I love the imagery of the spears and stars from Nehemiah 4 where the men building the wall are instructed to take night shifts, both building and guarding the builders, and held their spears "until the stars came out". The verse is Galatians 6:9 and I love what it says. It reminds me to do good and be happy and energized when doing so.

Me with the Not Grow Weary Ink on my arm.

I wore the Not Grow Weary tattoo on my arm and gave my daughters each a verse of scripture to wear on theirs as well. This was a wonderful experiment and my daughters enjoyed being able to participate. My daughter Zari even did some copywork all on her own with the verse she had and wrote it all down on a page for part of her homeschool.

Zari doing homeschool copywork from the Armed With Truth tattoo.

I am glad that these look authentic without being the real deal. I can't stand needles and so temporary tattoos are great for me. I can also change it up and wear a new one when I want to.

We received many compliments from people while we were wearing them and some of these became conversations about belief. I was glad to have had the opportunity to bear my testimony to these people about my faith and what I believe in. These are a great conversation starter and I recommend them highly.

Now it has been redesigned with fresh new art that will thrill children for many more years to come. This 512 page Bible brings the scripture to life with fun pictures of scenes from the Bible stories. More than 90 beloved Bible stories are paired with brand new vibrant three-dimensional like illustrations. The full-color illustrations that are on each page will help hold your little one's attention. This hardcover Bible encompasses both the Old and New Testaments with stories from the beginning of creation to Jesus' promise to return to Earth again. Each nonfiction story has illustrations, a title, scripture reference, and a short description of the passages for children to understand.

How We Used This and Our Thoughts:

We usually work through the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible at our home Bible studies because we feel it to be the most correct translation, but I do love that The Beginner's Bible is so easily readable for younger kids. My daughter Teela who is eight years old and in third grade was able to read it without difficulty and the pictures in it kept both my daughters occupied. Teela especially loves reading this Bible to her younger sister, Zari, who is six. In The Beginner's Bible the great Bible stories are made in more simple terms for my younger children to read and understand, but stick to the originals very well. Though some of the stories are more well known to my children there are still quite a few that they have not heard yet in this book. The pictures, though a little comical looking, are perfect to keep my kids' attention spans in check. I am glad this Bible has thicker glossy pages because most Bibles pages are too delicate for most children. I am also glad that the stories have a reference to turn to in the original scriptures so that we can also read the text in the KJV as well.

We have been using this along with our KJV Bible studies and I believe it has helped my younger children understand the words and what is happening better. We enjoyed reading about Christ's birth during the Christmas holiday in the New Testament and have read other stories as well from this Bible.

I recommend The Beginner's Bible to anyone with younger kids. This is a great children's Bible for ages 4-8 years old! The Beginner's Bible is wonderful for use during church services where children get fidgety to occupy them with something while they try to sit reverently.

The Under the Sea Holy Bible is a hardcover bible for children. The cover is shiny blue foil with sparkly accents. It is written in the NIrV bible translation at an easy to read 3rd grade reading level and 9 point font. This hardcover Bible combines the popularity of the ocean with the Word of God to make learning more fun and engaging. Includes 8 full-color pages (one being a name page to put who it is to and from) of illustrations that coincide with the scriptures and is the complete NIrV of the Bible (from Genesis to Revelation). These illustrations are animated like something out of Disney's Finding Nemo. These pages are glossy unlike the rest so you can locate them easier throughout the book. There is also a small dictionary in the back and a list of great Bible stories with their scriptures that correlate.

Zari with the Under the Sea Holy Bible.

We usually work through the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible at our home Bible studies because we feel it to be the most correct translation, but I do love that the Under the Sea Holy Bible is so easily readable for younger kids. My daughter Teela who is seven years old and in second grade was able to read it without difficulty. The pictures in it kept both my daughters occupied, although there are not a lot of them and the words on the pages with the illustrations really don't have anything to do with the ocean, underwater, or sea. I was expecting more correlation to the bible and the sea brought out in these. Teela especially loves reading this Bible to her younger sister, Zari, who is five because it is very easy to read and understand. The pages (except for the ones with pictures), like most Bibles, are a little delicate, so we encourage her to turn the pages with care. While I do not really think that this bible is as good or as exciting as a devotional or journal bible, I believe it has helped my younger children understand the words and what is happening better than a KJV Bible.

FishFlix.com My Son My Savior DVD Review

My family had the privilege of watching the FishFlix.com My Son My Savior DVD for this review to use in conjunction with our own homeschool curriculum. This is a Schoolhouse Review Crew Review. All opinions expressed are my own or those of my family.

FishFlix.com is a Christian based company that develops family-friendly movies. They have children's Christian movies, apologetics, educational, Christian history, biblical movies, dramas, romance, action and other feature films. They focus on bringing these wonderful wholesome films to their viewers.

From the makers of the award-winning biblical dramas Road to Emmaus and Come Follow Me comes My Son My Savior, a Christian film about the Virgin Mary (played by Corrina Crade) and how her life was guided into the role of being Jesus' mother. We see her childhood, growing up in a strict Jewish household, celebrating Passover and hearing about the Messiah's coming to redeem Israel. Little did Mary know that she would play a crucial part in the fulfillment of these prophesies. It is a deeply moving movie in which you get to see the life, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus (played by Bruce Marchiano) through his mother's eyes. This movie follows closely with the biblical story, but puts into more of a perspective of what emotions Mary had throughout everything that happened.

Trailer:

How We Used This and Our Thoughts:

As a Christian family we are well versed in the story about Jesus from the Bible. My girls who are 5 and 7 years old even know the story and love reading from their children's Bibles about him. We love recounting the story of his resurrection around Easter and the My Son My Savior DVD was perfect to use along with scripture. Easter for us is not all about bunnies and eggs. It is about Christ, our Savior, sacrificing himself on the cross for all of our sins so we can again be with our Heavenly Father once again.

I watched this Christian DVD over the weekend for the First Day of Spring with my family. This portrayal of the Virgin Mary is a powerful one. It shows how she responded with faith, love and finally understanding about Jesus' destiny. She knew Jesus as her son and came to also know him as her Savior.

We did feel that in the approximately 60 minutes running time they left out a lot of Jesus' life. I wish that they had shown Jesus' baptism as my daughter Teela is set to be baptized when she has turned 8 and this would have been a great moment of teaching for her. They also did not show the breaking of the fish & loaves and many other miracles he administered except for the miracle of the wine from water, healing the cripple, healing of Mary Magdalene, and healing of the ear of the high priest's slave. We wish they could have elaborated on more of the story, but as this was more about the mother of Jesus we understand why they did.

The background, scenery, clothing and architecture all looked very authentic. I love when they showed the stable of animals where Jesus was conceived.  I also love the scene of the hustle and bustle of the market place when baby Jesus was brought to the Temple to be presented. The costumes were lovely. I loved the headbands on some of the woman.

You can also download the FREE Bible Study Guide from here: http://www.mysonmysavior.com/biblestudy.html. This is a great way to have discussion with your family and Bible study along with the movie.

My Son My Savior is wonderful for the entire family. The film shows a little violence but no inappropriate scenes or questionable content. It is very well made and tastefully done. I love this film! It is perfect for Easter, Mother's Day, and Christmas. It is also great for sharing with others that would like to know more about Christ.
