THE STAR movie is coming to DVD, Blu-Ray, and Digital! Available on Digital February 6 and
On Blu-ray + DVD + Digital on February 20. This 86 minute animated movie gives an interesting perspective of the first Christmas from a lowly donkey. The voices of some of the characters are none other than: Steven Yeun, Gina Rodriquez, Zachary Levi, Keegan-Michael Key, Kelly Clarkson, Anthony Anderson, Aidy Bryant, Ving Rhames, Gabriel Iglesias, Patricia Heaton, Kristin Chenoweth, Christopher Plummer, Tracy Morgan, Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey. The Star: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack features Mariah Carey singing the theme song "The Star" and many other artists. The DVD or Blu-ray includes bonuses: Dance Along, “How-to” Crafts Video and Much More. The animation looks amazing and it looks like a lot of fun. I think everyone of all ages will like this PG film.

"In Sony Pictures Animation's The Star, a small but brave donkey named Bo yearns for a life beyond his daily grind at the village mill. One day he finds the courage to break free, and finally goes on the adventure of his dreams. On his journey, he teams up with Ruth, a lovable sheep who has lost her flock and Dave, a dove with lofty aspirations. Along with three wisecracking camels and some eccentric stable animals, Bo and his new friends follow the Star and become unlikely heroes in the greatest story ever told - the first Christmas."

2Cellos are made up of the Croatian cellists, Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser. This classical crossover dynamic duo and international sensation has taken instrumental music by storm since their distinctive video version of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” rocked YouTube with millions of hits in 2011. They have already created three very popular high-energy albums for Sony Music Masterworks: a self-titled debut album, IN2ITION, and Celloverse.

In their forth album, Score, these two instrumentalists take a different path exploring the more traditional side of classical music. Joining them for this album is the London Symphony Orchestra, with conductor/arranger Robin Smith at the helm. This was a dream come true for the 2Cellos to perform with. In Score, 2Cellos take us to the movies with theatrical scores such as the May It Be from the Lord of the Rings and the Schindler's List Main Theme. Sulic and Hauser also co-produced Score with Nick Patrick which has produced for such greats as Jackie Evancho, Il Divo, and Placido Domingo.

My Thoughts:
I love 2Cellos. They are fantastic and exceptionally talented. Their music is always epic and grand. I have loved their previous tracks so much because they are unique, energized, fun, and demand an audience. These tracks are what makes 2Cellos stand out in the classical world.

Score is a fabulous album. It is full of gorgeous music and I believe that 2Cellos and the London Symphony Orchestra performed them beautifully together. I am in love with the musical scores of great movies and TV, but find myself wanting more from 2Cellos Score. 2Cellos insanely intense sound and impressive high-stamina do not radiate throughout this album. However; even though this strays from 2Cellos normal, I still love Score. This album would be great played at a dinner party or Soiree.

Disney Shake It Up: I Love/Heart Dance CD Review

I received Shake It Up: I <3 Dance soundtrack free from Walt Disney Records to facilitate this review.

My kids love Disney's Shake It Up TV series. It is funny and well written. The set looks very similar to the one they used for Wizards of Waverly Place. Shake It Up is a preteen - teen sitcom that stars Bella Thorne and Zendaya. The show is about two friends, CeCe Jones (Thorne) and Rocky Blue (Zendaya), that star as background dancers on Shake It Up Chicago. It also follows their misadventures on and off the Shake It Up Chicago set. Also staring as main cast members are: Davis Cleveland as Flynn Jones, Roshon Fegan as Ty Blue, Adam Irigoyen as Deuce Martinez, Kenton Duty as Gunther Hessenheffer and Caroline Sunshine as Tinka Hessenheffer.

The multi-talented stars of Shake It Up, Bella Thorne and Zendaya, both sing on I <3 Dance, the 3rd soundtrack from Shake IT Up and Walt Disney Records. Their fellow Disney stars also join them singing on this CD: Selena Gomez, Bridgit Mendler, Roshon Fegan and Caroline Sunshine, in addition to up-and-coming stars Coco Jones, McClain Sisters and more. My favorite songs on this album are: This Is My Dance Floor, Beat Of My Drum, Future Sounds Like Us, Shake It Up Theme Song, and We're Dancing. I haven't heard any of the other CDs to compare this one to, but this CD has a great dance beat, is clean and family friendly. It has pop, dance, rock and a bit of rap. These 12 tracks come from the 3rd season of the show. I believe my little sister Jennifer would love the series and albums because she loves to dance and Shake It Up reminds me of her.
