My Thoughts:

I believe that food and financial security is so important and so many in this world are starving, going hungry, and don't have any way to make ends meet. People are also being persecuted for believing in Christ and that is wrong. I know that I am fairly privileged to live in America where I am living fairly comfortably and free to be a Christian and share my beliefs. I am so grateful and thankful for this. I received a Waypoint Goods Travel Scarf from the Featured Artist Series and called Jasmine & Jain. It is one of the lightweight scarves made from all natural bamboo and cotton. This pattern was made by two women, Alison Abbott and Jane, and was inspired by the flower market in Jaipur, India and the local people there, wearing colorful geometric patterns. Marigolds, rose petals and the scent of jasmine made the painted and layered canvas spring to life. The scarf's pattern is a result of an adaption of the full canvas. I love this gorgeous scarf! The oranges, reds and purples with the layered pattern are so rich and beautiful. I love that the Waypoint Goods scarves are made of quality fabric and notions that is sewn well. The fabric is soft, yet durable and is meticulously stitched with a lined pocket that has an invisible zipper. The pocket is lined in Waypoint Goods patterned fabric that complements the outer fabric and is lighter in color so you can find your stuff fast.

There are two different categories of travel scarf depending upon length and fabric choice and each have 5 lovely designs per category. One category is the lightweight bamboo and cotton travel scarf which is long and narrow and great for warmer weather and petite travelers. The lightweight scarves are 18" wide by 34" long and made of  eco-friendly 70% bamboo and 30% cotton. The other category is the original travel scarf which is wide and short and is best for cooler weather and wrapping up. The original is 22" wide by 32" long and is made of buttery soft 100% polyester.

I love how versatile this travel infinity scarf is, that you can pretty much wear it anywhere, and it is easy to clean. It can be used as a scarf, shawl, blanket and worn several different ways. Washing instructions are pretty straight forward: hand wash cold with mild detergent and lay flat to dry. Meet Nova

Nova, our new puppy dog.

Meet Nova, our McNab Rat Terrier mix puppy dog 🐕. Her name, Nova, means star 🌟. She has a gorgeous tricolor (brown, black, & white) and merle (blue) coat and super cute cocked ears. Her ears are so expressive. We adopted her from the Lassen Humane Society in Susanville, California and she was being trained by Pups on Parole there. After a long car ride 🚘 all the way from California (about 10 hours there to get her and 10 hours back) to Oregon she is finally home for Christmas 🎄.

Within minutes of arriving last night we found out she likes to bolt out doors and chase cars 😟. We had a harrowing night trying to find her in the dark 🌉 and cold 🌬️, but everything turned out 🙏 and our neighbor, Chuck, found her this morning on his front porch and brought her back home to us. My family is ecstatic that she is back safe and sound. Now she is content; getting lots of attention, warmed back up, and some much needed rest. Thank you to everyone that was looking for her! Y'all are all amazing!

She also received a comfy dog bed from our other neighbor, Jessica, for Christmas. She is settling in nicely and loves her new digs. We love her 😍! She is such a sweetheart and loves giving wet kisses 👅 to show her affection 💕.

My Thoughts:

By reviewing the Advancing Native Missions Gift Catalog I was given the choice of three gift packages: Animals Gift Package, Children's Gift Package, or the Newborn Care Package that I could pick from for ANM to give on my family's behalf. I picked the Animals Gift Package which is a $116 value and I believed had the most benefit to a family. This package gives 2 goats so a family can have an economical supply of milk and meat and gives 12 chickens so a family can eat and sell its eggs. 

Food and financial security is so important and so many in this world are starving, going hungry, and don't have any way to make ends meet. I know that I am fairly privileged to live in America where I am living fairly comfortably and free to be a Christian and share my beliefs. I am so grateful and thankful for this. This is a review I wrote about the artisan who made my metal wall sculptures.

 

I received $50 to spend on Novica. I wanted something that could decorate the side of my farm's well house. I needed something bright and cheery so that when guests come up our driveway they would notice it. I found a gorgeous steel wall sculpture of a Violet Hummingbird by J. Blas from Mexico. It was the perfect price because it was just a cent less than the GC I received and since I am a Novica Ambassador I received free shipping. It is shaped by hand and has cutout motifs on its wings and tail feathers. It is the perfect size too at just 21.25 inches high x 15 inches wide x 2.4 inches deep you can still tell from the road coming to our home that it is a hummingbird. I also learned that in Mexico when someone sees a hummingbird in flight, they make a wish. I love this sentiment so much!

I had purchased a different wall sculpture from the same artist a number of years back called 'Cave Art Pony' which is hung on a wall in my living room and I love it too. These metal wall sculptures are so unique and wonderful! I highly recommend J. Blas and his artwork!

Each piece of the Holly Lane line is packaged with the utmost care to make the unboxing experience special.

What We Thought:

I received the Esther Necklace from Holly Lane. When I opened the box it had arrived in I was in awe of the lovely way it was wrapped and presented. Inside the parcel was a magnificently gift-wrapped bundle. It was enclosed in decorative tissue paper with flecks of gold, a blue ribbon, and a gold embossed sticker with a crowned bird on it. Once I gently unwrapped that I first found a card with a bit about the company and a sheet with my order information.

Under that was a nest of shredded brown paper. In the center of the nest was a sticker with waves and the words, Be Still Psalm 46:10 and the Holly Lane logo in the lower corner. Under the sticker was a small box that opened with a ribbon tab like a drawer. The floral lined drawer held the Esther Story Card on top of a velvet pouch with the necklace inside.

After admiring and unraveling all of the intricate wrapping I finally beheld the Esther Necklace. The jewelry piece is so gorgeous! The pendant has a lovely geometric flower radiating from the center over a Star of David that represents Esther's beauty and influence as well as her heritage and faith. I love how it says, "You Make Me Brave" on the backside of the pendant too. Its two-tone sterling silver chain is adjustable up to 20" and is just as beautiful as the other details. Dangling from the chain are fine silver beads and iridescent freshwater pearls. The finishing touch is an 8mm genuine amethyst in a pretty bezel setting to represent Esther's royal position. I love the deep purple color of the amethyst! Amethysts are such pretty crystals. This necklace is a testament to that in which: if we have faith in God, He will help us be brave in the situations that we need to be brave the most.

Our Thoughts:
This special journal is not your average everyday diary. It has some really neat features. My daughter Zari really loved the twinkling lights and majestic unicorn on the cover. She also loved that it came with a pen with ink she could write with inside it and others wouldn't see what she wrote because it was invisible unless under a black light or the light of the pen itself. We did find that the pen's light is fairly faint because we could hardly make out what was written with it on the pages. You can use a regular pen, but that kind of defeats the purpose of  Also I do want to say that if you take the PUSH sticker off of the product you need to remember where it was so that you can press the correct area so that the lights illuminate and press firmly there to activate.

This will keep Zari busy putting her thoughts and doodles down on paper. She can't wait to personalize it and make it her very own. I hope this will be something she looks back to fondly when she is older.

I purchased a Horse Door Knocker called 'Horse Arrival' which is made out of copper plated brass that has an antique look with a lacquer finish. It is so very perfect for welcoming guests into my home. This horse head door knocker is hand crafted by Khalid Ali, an artisan in India, and inspired by the ancient Mughal style. It even came with the iron screws to mount it. This door knocker gives an ambience of dignity and grace and also has a neat feel of the orient. At a little over a pound in weight, this has got some beef to it. I love the way it looks and hope it lasts a long long time out in the elements. I cannot wait to install it!

I shared the Duri polishes with them and I do not feel guilty in using them on their nails because they are non-toxic, safe, and environmentally friendly. They do, however; have a strong odor, so make sure the room you are in is ventilated while painting. Duri's goal is to make your nails healthy and beautiful, so paint on the love!

The Duri nail polish is long lasting and fast drying for a durable, shiny finish. I love that they go on smooth without any bubbling or pocking. I also love that they don't easily chip or peel off. Love Bottle Review

The Love Bottle is a 500 ml, reusable glass water bottle that is both eco-friendly and better for you than plastic! Love Bottle's new American made bottle is different than most designs I have seen. The lids are made out of lead free ceramics, food grade silicone, and stainless steel wire which creates the swing-top mechanism. The bottles which are made of 40% recycled glass are sleek and tapered to fit in a standard cup holder well. They each have a raised heart on the neck of the bottle, a UR Loved logo on the bottle of the bottle, and a new dual color heart printed on the lid. These are 100% locally sourced and manufactured by Owens Illinois (O-I) in the USA.

These new Love Bottles are very aesthetically pleasing. These bottles are more than just a beautiful bottle for drinking water from. It is also all about the message of spreading love as well. Honey design and Love Bottle

I love my two new Love Bottles! I picked out the Honey one from being a backer for their Kickstarter campaign and the Love Portland one for a review. The Honey one I love because I love sweet Honey Bees! They are my favorite pollinators besides hummingbirds. I love the Love Portland bottle because its design is so reminiscent of the local landmarks: The KOIN Tower, The US Bank Tower, The White Stag sign and building, and the OHSU Tram. I love Portland and I am glad I am so close to this wonderful city!

These new Love Bottles are easy to use and fill and they don't leak when the swing-top lid is shut correctly. They are great for bringing on trips and you can get bands for them so that they have more grip and protection. I also love that these are BPA free and dishwasher safe, although I would recommend hand-washing. The messages of the designs are so inspirational too.
