Dark Chocolate Multigrain #Cheerios Cereal Review #PlatefullCoOp #spon

The information and product have been provided free by General Mills through Platefull Co-Op. to facilitate this review.

Introducing new Dark Chocolate Multigrain Cheerios®! With a touch of rich dark chocolate taste in every bite, new Dark Chocolate Multigrain Cheerios® cereal offers a perfect balance of multigrain goodness and a delicious touch of chocolate taste in every bite.

These are naturally flavored with real cocoa. It is packed with 5 whole grains (whole grain corn, whole wheat, whole grain oats, whole grain barley, whole grain rice). It has 110 Calories, 1.5g Fat, 9g Sugar, and 15g Whole Grain per Serving (All Cheerios cereal varieties have at least 14 grams of whole grain per serving. At least 48 grams recommended daily.)

My kids and I loved this new Multigrain Cheerios! It is perfect for the chocolate lover and Cheerio lover in all of us. I loved the combination of the Cheerios with chocolate clusters that crunch with every bite.

I am not sure if these, like regular Cheerios, are becoming GMO free, but I would love it if General Mills products all became healthier for all of us. I applause General Mills for making regular Cheerios GMO free and I hope that they do not stop there.

Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash Review and Giveaway

As part of the Purex® Insiders community, I was given a complimentary bottle of Dial® Vitamin Boost Body Wash to facilitate this review. All opinions are 100% my own.

New Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash is a moisturizing skin rinse infused with a Vitamin Complex. This has an advanced moisture and vitamin attracting formula to help your skin keep hydrated and nourished. Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash comes in two different types: Vitamin B which is lotion infused and Vitamin C which is oil infused.

I received a 16 fl oz bottle of the Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash with Vitamin B in it to try out for myself for free for this review. It has a flip top lid and a bottle that you can easily hold. The bottle easily dispenses when squeezed. This body wash comes out as a clear gel that when rubbed onto a wet body sponge, poof, or loofah becomes a nice rich lather. It rinses off easily with water and leaves the skin smooth and soft. It has a very pleasant fruity scent of kiwis and mangoes that I like a lot. This product does contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS) and artificial dyes of which I am not happy about.

My #DisneySide @Home Celebration Party

I received free products to facilitate my party from Disney Parks and MomSelect. My thoughts are mine and my family's own opinion and have not been altered by anyone else. I did not receive any other compensation for doing this post.

We had our very first #DisneySide @Home Celebration Party on February 15th, 2014. We planned and prepped and finally it was the day. We put up the decorations and prepared the food. Then we partied! We had so much fun showing our #DisneySide!

#DisneySide Costume Party
We had a #DisneySide Themed costume party. We had some really adorable Disney Princesses show up. We love playing dressup!

Teela playing the Pin The Bow on Minnie Mouse Game
The first game we played was a Pin The Bow on Minnie Mouse Game. I made this from a piece of cardboard and paint I had lying around the house. I just traced a large bowl for the face and the top of a 40 oz soda cup for the ears. Then I made the detachable bow freehand, painted it red, let the red dry, then painted the polka-dots with the opposite end of the small paintbrush I was using.

This game was a guest favorite. The kids wanted to play to get their turn at pinning the bow on Minnie Mouse over and over again. I am so glad they liked it so much.

#DisneySide Bingo: Teela and Delbin
Then we played #DisneySide Bingo. I had the younger kids pair up with an older kid so that they could help them with the reading and finding of the correct pictures. Everybody won a prize to take home.

#DisneySide Bingo: A few of our guest players
Here are some more players of the #DisneySide Bingo having a Goofy time :)

#DisneySide @Home Celebration Party Food
We had some very yummy party food and drinks that I made for the celebration. We had: Hot Diggity Dogs, Mickey Mouse Shaped Finger Sandwiches,  Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Muffins, red Jello, and Kiwi Strawberry Soda. It was all very yummy.

I did make the mistake of not cutting the water in half for the jello so it didn't set up enough for cutting it out into shapes like I wanted. I wanted to make Jello Jigglers in the Mickey Mouse cookie cutter shapes. I will know next time to cut the water in half so it won't be as watery.

At the end I handed out the last of the take home prizes to the guests and also told the parents about the HP Photo Card Packs and TwoSmiles, a HP website where you can print-at-home personalized greeting cards with gift cards in them. We also talked about Disney Parks and why we love them so much!

The #DisneySide @Home Celebration Party turned out to be a hit! Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. Thank you Disney Parks for giving me the opportunity to do this!

Target Breakfast Twist #PlatefullCoOp #spon

The information and prize pack have been provided free by General Mills through Platefull Co-Op. to facilitate this post.

Breakfast is an important start to your family's day, but all too often, it's rushed, hectic, and…monotonous. Target has brought some family favorites together and made some interesting yummy combinations for quick and easy throw together breakfasts. These are simple twists on traditional breakfasts and there isn't anything complex about these recipes. These are great to help fuel your day.

Platefull Co-Op has sent me a selection of favorite items so that I could create my own unique spins on breakfast and share them with you:
  • 1 pouch Nature Valley® Protein Granola (Crunchy Oats 'n Honey)
  • 1 box Nature Valley® Granola Bars (Crunchy Oats 'n Honey)
  • 1 box Honey Nut Cheerios® Medley Crunch™ cereal (Honey Nut Cheerios, crispy flakes, and clusters made with real almond slices)
  • 1 box Trix® (Wildberry Red Swirls) cereal
  • 1 package Quaker® Oats (old fashioned)
  • 1 jar Jif® peanut butter (creamy)
  • 1 package Nutella® (Hazelnut spread) mini cups
  • 1 pouch Grandma Hoerner’s® Big Slice™ apples snack (kettle cooked apples: slices, chunks, and sauce)
I decided to only combine the ingredients in the kit together and see what I could come up with. In my first recipe I emptied the pouch of Grandma Hoerner’s® Big Slice™ apples snack in a small glass ramekin and sprinkled some Nature Valley® Protein Granola and some Quaker® Oats over the top. The second recipe I took one Nature Valley® Granola Bar out of the box and since it was already divided into two bars inside the packaging I spread Jif® peanut butter on one and one Nutella® mini cup on the other. The one with peanut butter I also sprinkled Honey Nut Cheerios® Medley Crunch™ cereal on top and the one with Nutella® I placed some Trix® cereal on top. The kids and I enjoyed our easy breakfast twists.

Big Slice Apples, Granola & Oats
I especially loved the Grandma Hoerner’s® Big Slice™ apples snack. This particular one that I received was Cherry Vanilla flavored and had luscious cherries, chunky apples, and real Madagascar vanilla. It was so delicious, especially with the little bit of crunch that the granola and oats gave!

Granola Bar Cereal Treats
These granola bar treats that I made were good, but too sweet for me. My kids loved them though. I love the Honey Nut Cheerios® Medley Crunch™ cereal by itself and with milk in a bowl just fine for breakfast. I am not too much of a peanut butter fan, but the Nutella® I love!

#DisneySide Flashback

A few days ago I unearthed these pictures of me showing my #DisneySide as a child. I love going through photos that I haven't seen in a while and reminiscing about my childhood with my own children. These pictures bring back so many good memories. I love looking back and remembering the details that I've forgotten.
