My Thoughts:

I love products that are natural and nourishing. Ameo Life health products are just that and they are also a company with Christian values. I love how they stand strong in their faith and believe that the human body is a miracle of divine creation and that our planet earth provides the ability to promote healing with natural supplementation and elements. They share this belief with me.

I received 4 Ameo Life products to try out: pH Balanced Alkaline Structured Silver Solution, Extra Strength Silver Gel, Organic Silver Soap, and a bottle of their Chelated Multivitamins. I love that I got to try out different Ameo Life products and not just one thing.

The pH Balanced Alkaline Structured Silver Solution is a liquid supplement that adults can take 2 tsp of twice daily and children 4 years and older can take 1/2 tsp twice daily. It doesn't really taste like anything and doesn't have a smell. You can use this both for external skin use and internally as a supplement. I have also been using it on my tooth brush and notice a difference. My gums feel better and so does my gut.

The Extra Strength Silver Gel is Ameo Life's strongest silver gel they offer. It is for external use only and is great for your skin. It comes in a pump and its directions say to apply generously to skin as needed to promote healthy skin. I love to use it on my face as a cleanser. My skin is so dry with this summer heat and this gel is cold and refreshing. My skin soaks it up and feels fresh and rejuvenated. I find that it speeds healing too. I noticed my blemishes disappearing and it is great to quickly heal cuts, burns, rashes, and bug bites/stings too. I have super sensitive skin and this was delicate with no added dyes or perfumes and didn't make me break out like other things.

Ameo Life has 5 different Silver Soaps to choose from. They have Lavender, Charcoal Tea Tree, Lemongrass, Oatmeal Spice, and Peppermint. These bar soaps are all natural, silver infused, and made with organic ingredients. These are great for all skin types and are toxin and paraben free. I received their Charcoal Tea Tree Silver Soap. This soap has orange, tea tree, and bergamot essential oils which make it have a light, pleasant smell. It is a black bar because of the activated charcoal which helps clean the skin, unclog pores, remove oils and impurities, and slough dead skin cells. It also has coconut oil and cacao butter which help moisturize and soften the skin. Plantain leaves from the Broadleaf Plantain have been added because of its healing properties, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects, and vitamins A, C, and K. Cacao is added for its antioxidants and nutrients and Rosemary extract for its stimulating and astringent effect on the skin, as well as its ability to decongest oily skin. I love this soap! It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.

The Chelated Multivitamin is an adult daily multivitamin with 18 essential vitamins and minerals. Recommended use is to take 2 cellulose capsules per day with food. They are gluten-friendly and vegan. Chelated means that it has improved absorption and availability for the human body. The added methylated folate, a biologically active form of the B9 vitamin folate, 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (L-methylfolate), is a bonus because it helps with depression and other mental health issues and is better for us than the synthetic form, folic acid. It is rich in antioxidants like Vitamin C, E, and Alpha Lipoic Acid. I can take these with my iron pills since they don't contain iron. These have a "full complex of B vitamins", meaning 8 different kinds: B1 (thiamin), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid), B6 (pyridoxine), B7 (biotin), B9 (folate), and B12 (cobalamin); to help with stress, and to support brain function as well as nervous system and reproductive health. I have noticed a significant boost in energy, mood, and stamina while taking them.

Figures In Motion Famous Figures of Ancient Times Review

Disclaimer: I received this complimentary product through the Homeschool Review Crew in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way.

My family had the privilege of trying Famous Figures of Ancient Times from Figures In Motion for this review to use in conjunction with our own curriculum at home. This is a Homeschool Review Crew Review. All opinions expressed are my own or those of my family.

Figures In Motion was created by Cathy Diez-Luckie an award-winning illustrator and homeschooler. One Thanksgiving she came up with the idea of making articulated puppets for her children of Pilgrims. Her children loved them so much she decided to make more historical figures and the company was born. Now Figures In Motion has 8 books dedicated to movable paper figures throughout history, including a book on dinosaurs! They also have 6 different coloring eBooks as well.

The Figures In Motion paper puppets for kids consumable books make up different time periods. They have Famous Figures of Ancient Times, Famous Figures of Medieval Times, Famous Figures of the Middle Ages & Renaissance, Famous Figures of the Early Modern Era, Famous Figures of the American Revolution, Famous Figures of the Civil War, Footsteps in Faith Queen Esther, and Dinosaurs on the Move. Each book is softcover with perforated pages to tear out for easy access to each paper doll. The pages are made of card stock material. In the front of the books are short descriptions of each historical figure. Then it has a reading list for each paper puppet to further learning. Each historical figure has a full color version and a black and white lined version to color. The costume illustrations are historically accurate. On the back of each paper puppet's articulated pieces are how they are put together with the help of a letter key. After they are cut out, these pieces are hole punched with a ⅛" hole punch where indicated and put together with mini brads so that they are moveable at the joints. You may purchase the hole punch and brads separately at most craft stores (Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc.) or on the Figures In Motion website. They allow moms to copy the line art pages to use with more than one child in your family. They do not allow them being shared at coops, or between other families or school settings. They have licenses for coops, church groups, and classrooms.

Figures In Motion Famous Figures of Ancient Times

How We Used This and Our Thoughts:

We received the Famous Figures of Ancient Times physical book from Figures In Motion. Figures In Motion was very generous as they also gave us a hole punch and brads in the correct size for the review. This particular book had 21 historical men and women (19 men and 2 women). Figures include Jesus, Moses, David, Julius Cesar, Alexander the Great, Aristotle, and more! We will be studying more on each figure as we read about them with our ancient history lessons at home. The included book list will be a great teaching resource so that we can further our learning. We love learning about history especially if it is hands-on. These books make history incredibly interactive.

Zari assembling Leizu.

Zari looked through the Famous Figures of Ancient Times book to pick out a figure to articulate. She was very surprised to find there were only two women in the book. She picked Leizu, a Chinese empress, to learn about, cut out, and put together. We read the blurb about Leizu first. Then, Zari chose the full color version of her because she wasn't in a coloring mood. We pulled the page out with the perforated edge and she cut out all the pieces. Besides letters to match up we noticed that the back of each piece had either back or front on them so you could place them in the correct position on the articulated doll. I showed Zari how to line up the hole punch correctly and punch out the holes where the dots where located on the doll. She placed each body part on the doll correctly and lined up the holes to place the tiny brads. After she was finished putting the doll together she danced her around the table saying, "Oh no! A cocoon dropped into my tea!".

Zari holding the articulated movable paper doll, Leizu.

We highly recommend Figures In Motion Famous Figures of Ancient Times. These are great for kids to have a hands-on tactile experience learning history. Because they are moveable they are more fun than your standard paper doll and they are super easy to assemble. This is a great arts and craft to enjoy along with the learning. Kids can put on a puppet show to reenact historical events with these. They are great educational play and the imagination. The historical paper dolls are wonderful to be used with biographies, with lap books, as a unit study, with a timeline, or with any ancient history curriculum.

Allsaid & Dunn, LLC The Magic Stories Review

My family had the privilege of trying The Magic Stories from Allsaid & Dunn, LLC, publishers of The Reading Game and authors of the Wordly Wise series for this review to use in conjunction with our own homeschool curriculum. This is a Homeschool Review Crew Review. All opinions expressed are my own or those of my family.

The Magic Stories are 6 downloadable PDFs that each have a thought-provoking story with good morals and character built into the plots. These are about 20 pages long, are typed in a larger font that is easily read, and should be read in sequential order. These stories have black and white drawings and sketches that can be colored by the child as well.

Each story comes with a set of "Naughty 40" word flash cards and four worksheets. The "Naughty 40" are words that kids have difficulty reading. They can be printed and cut out for use. The exercises in the worksheets include: maze, finish the sentence, imagine, and finish the story.

There are optional worksheets on the website for free to download available under the “Free Resources” section of their website. The Instructions for The Magic Stories will tell you what to do with this set to optimally teach your child with it. The Pre & Post Sight Word Assessment Worksheets help determine whether your child is familiar with the "Naughty 40" words from each story. This tests vocabulary acquisition growth. You check mark if your child recognizes the word, can read in a sentence & understands the meaning of the word. This is done before reading the story and after. If your child needs more help you can use the flash cards to work on these more. There are also Running Record Evaluation Worksheets for each book that is a 100 word section of each story to test your child's reading fluency.

This set develops comprehension, writing skills, creative writing, perception, reasoning, and memory recall. This supplemental reading program is recommended for 2nd/3rd grade reading level. These can be used as a follow up to The Reading Game, but the game is not a prerequisite. These are optimized for iPad or computer screen and can easily be printed on standard 8.5" x 11" paper or cards.

Titles of The Magic Stories:
  1. The Magic Hole
  2. The Magic Ax
  3. The Magic Joke
  4. The Magic Hotdog
  5. The Magic Boots
  6. The Magic Box

Teela doing the worksheets for The Magic Stories.

How We Used This and Our Thoughts:
My daughter Teela is in 4th grade and my daughter Zari is in 1st grade this year. I knew that my daughter Teela would be too advanced in her reading to really benefit from this completely, but I also thought she might enjoy reading the stories and possibly doing the activities. Zari is not reading too much yet as she is just beginning reading, so I had Teela read the stories out loud to her so that she could enjoy them as well. These stories are well written and have a great moral ending to each one. For example: The Magic Ax is about a boy that learns the value of hard work and The Magic Joke shares with us that it is better to end a war than win a war. These could be printed, but we decided to just have Teela read them from the computer. We very much enjoyed reading these stories. My favorite was The Magic Ax, Teela's favorite was The Magic Hotdog, and Zari's was The Magic Boots.

The "Naughty 40" word flash cards have the word and a sentence with the word in it on them. These are words a typical 2nd - 3rd grader might have trouble reading because of how they are spelled or because they don't follow the rules. Each story has a set of 40 of these words and these are listed at the end of each story. The flash cards are in their own PDFs for printing out easily. We used these decks very little at this point because Teela was already well versed with reading these words and Zari still had trouble reading most the words in the stories by herself. We will probably utilize these at a later point when Zari is in 2nd or 3rd grade and feels more independent at reading more words.

The worksheets were also in their own PDFs. These we printed out and had Teela do each one after she read each story. She liked doing these and thought the activities were fun. I liked that they made her recall the story and tested her comprehension of it.

I would recommend these to those who like fun stories and are 2nd - 3rd grade reading level...although I enjoyed them as well. I believe that those grades would benefit most from the complete package. These are a great supplemental reading program for homeschool setting.

Organic India Tulsi Tea Review

Organic India Tulsi Tea & Psyllium Products
I received these products for free from Organic India and Moms Meet to facilitate this review.

Tulsi also known as Holy Basil is an herb prized in India for its healing power. Organic India's Tulsi Teas include three varieties of Tulsi leaves: Rama, Vana, and Krishna. Each variety has a slightly different look, taste and smell and when combined, create a perfectly balanced herbal infusion with an array of health benefits. This tea is GMO and gluten free. This tea is very good hot or cold. Tulsi is an adaptogen, which means it lessens stress and helps boost immunity. It energizes, soothes, relaxes, builds stamina, aids digestion, balances metabolism, balance energy levels, and uplifts mood. It is also abundant in antioxidants and is anti aging. This tea is USDA certified organic and Kosher and Halal certified. Can also be purchased in lots of different flavors in boxed, bulk, and loose leaf variety. The boxed variety is what I got to enjoy. It has 18 individually wrapped tea bags per box for freshness that can be easily taken with you to enjoy. Organic India recommends that women who are pregnant, attempting to conceive, or lactating consult their healthcare practitioner before consuming Tulsi (Holy Basil).

Tulsi Original Herbal Tea - I like the original a lot. It has a nice herbal flavor. This tea is caffeine free, but energizes me throughout my day without the caffeine withdrawal!

Tulsi Sweet Rose Tea - This delicate feminine herbal tea is a blend of Tulsi leaves and organic rose petals, balanced with soothing chamomile flower, the natural sweetness of organic stevia leaf, and a touch of lemon myrtle leaf, all infused with the essence of rose. This fragrant floral bouquet is wonderfully rich and exotic for the senses. I love how, if I close my eyes, it magically transports me to a English rose garden every time I drink a cup.

Tulsi Raspberry Peach Tea
- This caffeine free tea is wonderful for stress relieving and detoxifying. Warm spicy Tulsi, succulent raspberry, and aromatic peach, accented by a touch of elderberries, hibiscus flower, and black currant leaf; combine to create a fruity, fragrant infusion that brightens my day. I love this tea both hot or cold and it is so good with a splash of lemonade in it too!

Tulsi Pomegranate Green Tea - This special blend is made with delicious pomegranate (which is rich in vitamin C), sweet hibiscus flowers, tart elderberries and notes of refined citrus that is combined with Tulsi and organic green tea. This energetic blend will invigorate you and improves digestion, while cooling and refreshing your senses. This tea has 13 mg of caffeine per serving (8 oz) because of the green tea that is added. A 8 oz cup of coffee is around 90-400 mg depending upon how and where it's brewed, so this tea is considerably less. Green tea is antioxidant rich. Antioxidants help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. This tea is one of my favorites with its vibrant tango of flavors for my taste buds.

Tulsi Honey Chamomile Tea - This caffeine free tea is wonderful for stress-relieving, relaxing, and having restorative benefits. It is great to calm anxiety and settle stomachs. The Chamomile flower blossoms and honey have a perfect smooth flavor to soothe me before I sleep.

Tulsi Red Mango Tea -This luscious tropical blend of caffeine free African Rooibos (redbush tea) leaf, chamomile flower, and India's sacred Tulsi is infused with India's favorite fruit, the succulent mango. It is stress-relieving, nurturing and gives transformative energy because of its high antioxidant content. This herbal tea has a lovely fruity taste with less tannin than black or green tea.

Tulsi Peppermint Tea - This caffeine free tea is stress-relieving, refreshing, cooling, invigorating, and restorative. The ambrosial peppermint has soothing properties that help calm anxiety, settle stomachs, and aid in digestion. I love peppermint tea and this one is especially delicious with the added benefits of the Tulsi. I love this tea hot or cold with mint leaves and/or lemonade.

Bonus Items:

Organic Psyllium - This is a whole husk Psyllium that is derived from the seeds of the herb Plantago ovata. This bulk-forming dietary fiber contains both soluble and insoluble fiber that naturally supports the complete gastrointestinal system to provide you with better digestive and heart health. This is the only Certified Organic Psyllium fiber supplement on the market today. Promotes healthy elimination and regularity. Serving size is 1 tablespoon per day in a 10 oz glass of water, juice, or your favorite beverage, stirred with an additional glass of water as a chaser to ensure proper hydration. 68 servings per container. This is a Kosher, gluten free and non GMO supplement. For adults and children over 12 years. Best taken before or between meals. I love that this is organic and better for me than other fiber supplements.

Organic India Shopping Bag - Classic tote for taking to the grocery store and being eco-friendly because it is reusable and washable. Lightweight and durable.

Organic India Mason Jar Glass Tumbler - This vintage 20 oz glass Mason Jar tumbler is perfect for on the go and comes with a lid and reusable straw. It has the Organic India logo printed on it.

Organic India Moringa Leaf Powder and Capsules Review

Organic India Moringa, capsules, and Tulsi Products.
I received these products for free from Organic India and Moms Meet to facilitate this review.

Moringa Leaf Powder - Moringa (Moringa oleifera) is a nutrient-dense complex whole super food. The leaves of the Moringa plant have been eaten for thousands of years. They are super high in antioxidants, even more than Resveratrol and green tea. They are also abundant in B vitamins and complex amino acids (the building blocks of protein). Moringa boosts overall energy levels, stamina, and vitality. It is also alkalizing. The leaves are powdered to make it easy to add to different foods and drinks to get the recommended 6-10 servings of vegetables per day. As a dietary supplement, mix 1/2 teaspoon with water, juice, tea, or blend into a smoothie. There are 225 servings per 8 oz container. I also received recipes to add it to mayonnaise as a spread or dip, salad dressing, and aioli. There are other ways to get this superfood into your diet too. Sprinkle it on soups, over salads, or make your own unique recipe. I tried it out and it mixes well with a spoon and tastes like tea. I can see this used for many recipes. I am going to try it on pasta. It is great for hiding nutrients in foods for picky eaters and kids to get a serving of vegetables. I can't wait to experiment more with it. This product is: organic, gluten free, vegan and vegetarian, GMO free, Kosher and Halal certified.

Moringa capsules - These capsules are easier to take if you do not care for the taste of the powder. They have the same benefits as the Moringa Leaf Powder. This is complete essential nutrition that contains over 90 nutrients, 46 antioxidants and abundant minerals. 90 vegetable cellulose caps per bottle. Suggested use: 4 capsules with food and water once a day. This product is: organic, gluten free, vegan and vegetarian, GMO free, Kosher and Halal certified.

Joy! capsules - This has the Bacopa/Brahmi leaves (Bacopa monnieri), aerial parts of the Gotu Kola  (Centella asiatica), whole herb of the Shankpushpi (Convolvulus pluricaulis) and Ashwagandha root (Withania somnifera). These herbs together uplift mood, boosts energy and vitality, and reduces emotional tension and stress so you can experience your true natural state of peace and happiness. I felt less stressed and fatigued when taking this. 90 vegetable cellulose caps per bottle. Suggested use: 1 capsule once a day with food and water. This product is: organic, gluten free, vegan and vegetarian, GMO free, Kosher and Halal certified.

Turmeric Formula capsules - Turmeric is very orange in color. The plant is in the ginger family. The turmeric powder spice comes from the dried rhizome (Curcuma longa) (often called a root) of the turmeric plant. I have used turmeric powder in the past for many recipes in my home including Fire Cider. It is also one of the ingredients that makes up the spice curry, which I also love. With the capsules you have the option of breaking open the capsule and adding it to your food or taking just the capsule. I love cooking with turmeric and it has many health bonuses that are associated with ingesting it. It is great for a number of things including stomach problems, digestion, cough, bronchitis, and colds. It is an anti-inflammatory, anti-infection, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-oxidant, and adaptogen - lessens stress and helps boost immunity. It nourishes & cleanses the blood and lymph system, and promotes healthy inflammation and immune response. It also supports cellular health in the liver, skin, lungs, sinuses, joints, and digestive system. Since this is a formula it also has Turmeric Extract which is 95% curcumimoids and Ginger rhizome (Zingiber officinale). 90 vegetable cellulose capsules per bottle. Suggested use: 1 capsule 2 times a day with food and water. This product is: organic, gluten free, vegan and vegetarian, GMO free, Kosher and Halal certified.

A 8 oz cup of coffee is around 90-400 mg depending upon how and where it's brewed, so this tea is considerably less. Green tea is antioxidant rich. Antioxidants help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. If you love green tea, you will love this tea and it's added benefits!

Tulsi Moringa Tea - Moringa is a highly nutritional complex whole food. It is super high in antioxidants even more than Resveratrol and green tea. It is abundant in B vitamins and complex amino acids (the building blocks of protein). This is delicious tea that helps me feel energized, nourished, and happy even though it is caffeine free!

Tulsi Cinnamon Rose Tea - This caffeine free tea is my favorite out of all the Tulsi flavors I have tried so far. I love the combination of the Cinnamon (bark), Cassia (bark), Peppermint (leaf), Stevia (leaf), Cardamom (pod), Chamomile (flower) and the Rose Petals (flower). This floral, minty and spicy tea is so yummy! I love it hot with organic raw honey!

Visual Learning Systems Digital Science Online Review

Visual Learning Systems Digital Science Online.

My family has always had a love for science. We love doing science experiments at home and love learning about the world around us out in the field. The more interactive and hands on it is the more my kids love doing it. Ever since my children were very, very little they have been extremely inquisitive. My kids love to explore everything and find the answers.

I believe that teaching science is very important. It helps us unlock the mysteries of practically everything. Visual Learning Systems is an online based educational science publisher that has top of the line visual curriculum from kindergarten though twelfth grade. We have been given the chance to use both their Digital Science Online: Elementary Edition (Grades K-5) and Digital Science Online: Secondary Edition (Grades 6-12) if we wanted to.  We also have access to ALL the levels with Admin, Teacher, and Student accounts for a full year. For this review I have already used it for 3 days per week for 6 weeks with my children. This curriculum is great for teachers in public school as well as homeschooling parents.

Visual Learning Systems Digital Science Online full screened video.

Visual Learning Systems Digital Science Online is an annual K-12 digital subscription online to a vast variety of visual tools for science education. This wonderful media includes: videos, animations, images, and activities. The videos are a wonderful visual aid. The live action footage from all over the world on these videos is colorful and engaging. Chapter video clips are indexed within the lesson. You can either play them individually or play all. If you choose to play all they will be about 10-20 minutes long per unit study or lesson. You can make the video full screen too. They have vocabulary words that show up on the screen to go along with the lessons. A video review quiz follows each video and there are "you decide" questions throughout the program. This can be paired with the worksheets in the teacher's guide section or just done aloud with your student. The animations are easily accessed within the videos or all on their own by clicking the tab. In the images tab their are images that are annotated to give you more information. These also are in the video as well. The resources for the student/teacher include: printable worksheets, lab activities, vocabulary exercises, reading activities, assessments, quizzes, and tests.

Vocabulary words to go along with the program show up from time to time.

Teela answering the question asked in the trees video for Life Science.

Navigation is pretty simple. Once you are logged in you can see that the lessons are categorized into subjects and grade level along the bottom left hand side for easy access. Once you click a grade level then you may also pick a subject. Under each subject there are lesson titles which show up in the mid-bottom part of your screen. Above those there is a search bar to search for keywords in their database. Up at the top will be the lesson title you have picked and the clickable links to the videos, animations, images, and teacher's guides off to the right. Under those you will see chapter video clips within the lesson that you can either play individually or click to play all. If you click on the teacher's guides it will give you how to introduce the video to the student, student activities, learning objective list, and the video script. This whole program makes for a wonderful well rounded science curriculum.

Visual Learning Systems Digital Science Online: Elementary Edition

Visual Learning Systems Digital Science Online: Elementary Edition is geared to grades kindergarten through 5th. These lessons are split into two grade groups: Primary (K-2) and Elementary (3-5). My daughter Teela is six, going on seven in April and fits comfortably within the primary grades (K-2) under this edition. I don't have any children that fall into the grade group for elementary grades (3-5) right now.

Teela worked through the Life Science units of study in the primary Elementary Edition section. We didn't want to skip around too much, but this subject interested my daughter the most and because it is Spring time I thought it was fitting to start there. The other science education subjects that are in this are Physical Science, Earth Science, and Health. We will be working through these at a later time, but I still wanted to mention them. The elementary grade level of this edition has Physical Science, Earth Science, and Life Science, but no Health.

Teela had lots of fun learning the lessons in Life Science. She learned about life cycles, food chains, classification and grouping, plants, trees, and specific groups of animals, etc. She loved the videos which were so informative and doing the worksheets too. We had her do a lesson per day, 3 days per week, for 6 weeks. This had her completely done with Life Science by the allotted time that I had to do this review. She said that her favorites were learning about the parts of the plant, about the rings on a tree, and the life cycle of a butterfly.

Visual Learning Systems Digital Science Online: Secondary Edition

Visual Learning Systems Digital Science Online: Secondary Edition is geared to grades 6th through 12th (middle/high school). My oldest son Delbin is 14 and his younger brother Jaedan is 12, going on 13 in May and they both fit comfortably within this edition. Besides Physical Science, Earth Science, Life Science, and  Health the secondary studies have Integrated Science and Biology. We have not started this with my boys yet, a lot of this for them is refresher. I do know they will also love it though and plan to have them do it in upcoming months.

I love that this is so accessible to so many. This is available for subscribers 24/7 as well as seven days a week for the student, teacher, and/or parent. It is also accessible to so many different platforms. You can use it on digital whiteboards, LCD projectors, iPads, handheld devices, and all computers. This integrates with all networks and no servers or software is needed. You can also have closed-captioned on for the visually impaired.

This whole program works really well for us and so far we absolutely love it. I can't wait to dive into more of the lessons with more of my kids.

Pricing:

$.90 per student (minimum $300/year). They have multi-campus discounts as well. Also, homeschool pricing is available for $99 per edition (elementary or secondary), up to 8 students.

Celebrate HalloWellness with Orange + Black Indian Spices!

I received these products for free to facilitate this review.

This season is known for awful colds and flu bugs going around. We do not always eat healthy during the holidays, especially when Halloween is just around the corner and all that candy is looming over us beckoning us to eat it. Just the other day I went to Walmart and saw two whole aisles dedicated to the stuff. We should not be compromising our health during the holidays! We can't afford to get sick in the midst of everything going on.

There are other healthier ways to bring in the orange and black for Halloween. Organic India has some awesome products that I have added to my cupboard. There are 3 products they sent me to try out for free and review: Turmeric Formula capsules, Chyawanprash, and Tulsi Original herbal tea. These are all great for supporting and boosting the immune system and reducing stress. This is something we all need during the hectic holiday season.

Turmeric Formula capsules - Turmeric is very orange in color. The plant is in the ginger family. The turmeric powder spice comes from the dried rhizome (often called a root) of the turmeric plant. This product is: gluten free, vegan and vegetarian, GMO free, Kosher and Halal certified. 90 capsules per bottle. Suggested use: 1 capsule 2 times a day with food and water.

Chyawanprash - Chyawanprash is a dark colored herbal jam that looks black when spread thickly on bread, toast, or a cracker. This Chyawanprash is 100% organic. It has a thick consistency much like raw honey. It is sweet and sour at the same time. I can definitely taste some kind of berries and cinnamon in it. It is made from wild forest antioxidant rich fruits including Amalaki. This Chyawanprash is packed with 36 traditional Indian herbs + vitamin C. It aids in digestion, metabolism, memory and even skin complexion. It also is rejuvenation, energizing, boosts immunity & known as the "Elixir of Life" for its many nutritional properties. This product is GMO free, Halal certified and USDA certified organic. This comes in a 8.8 oz (250 g) jar. Suggested use: 1 teaspoon per day. Enjoy on bread or crackers, mixed into milk, juice, or tea; or just straight.

Tulsi Original Herbal Tea -Tulsi also known as Holy Basil is an herb prized in India for its healing power. Organic India's Tulsi Teas include three varieties of Tulsi leaves: Rama, Vana, and Krishna. Each variety has a slightly different look, taste and smell and when combined, create a perfectly balanced herbal infusion with an array of health benefits. This tea is caffeine, GMO, and gluten free. This tea is very good hot or cold. I like the original a lot. It is also individually wrapped 18 tea bags per box for freshness that can be easily taken with you to enjoy. Can also be purchased in other flavors and loose leaf variety.

Organic India has other teas, herbal supplements, herbs, herbal coffee, gifts, and other wellness products. You can check out the company for yourself: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube.

Airborne Gummies Review

I received this free sample courtesy of Smiley360 to facilitate my review.

I tried the all new Airborne Gummies. Airborne supports your immune system*. They have a great source of vitamin c (1000 mg) plus 9 other vitamins minerals and herbs. They are assorted fruit flavors (citrus, mixed berry, and grapefruit - naturally and artificially flavored) and comes in a bottle with 21 gummies in it. Has both Vitamins C and E for antioxidant properties. Has Selenium, a component to help with increasing antioxidants. It also has 35 mg of herbal blend including Echinacea and ginger. 3 gummies is a serving size, for children 12-13 years old: no more than twice a day and 14 years and older: no more than 3 times a day. Gluten free. These also come in a larger 42 count size and Kids Gummies, which are specially formulated for younger kids.

These taste really good but have a coating of sugar on the outside which I thought was not necessary. My older kids liked the taste as well. They were gummy and chewy. My favorite of the three flavors is the grapefruit.

Price is around $7.49 (21 ct) and $14.99 (42 ct): during time of post.

Back to School with Children's Oxylent Review and Giveaway

We received products free to facilitate this review and have been offered products to give away as well.

Nutrition is so important for our children. How your child eats today will have a huge impact on their health throughout adolescence and adulthood. It is imperative to instill good habits when children are young so they grow into healthy adults. Getting the most nutritious food into them; however, sometimes can be a daunting task. Some children are very picky eaters and to them the nutritious food might not be the best tasting. Getting the proper vitamins and minerals everyday can be hard sometimes. Especially since we tend to live busy lifestyles.

This fall, you can send your kids off to school with strong immune systems and a big boost of brain power! Children's Oxylent delivers essential nutrients and offers a fun, great tasting, nutritious drink, sweetened with Stevia only.

Specifically, Children's Oxylent:
  • Nurtures: A balance of the highest-quality nutrients supports your child's development and well-being. Vitamin A supports growth, vitamins E and B support developing nervous systems, and zinc supports brain function.
  •  Strengthens: Vitamin D3, calcium, and magnesium support the health of growing bones and muscles.9–11 Recent research shows that even kids in sunny climates don't get enough vitamin D.
  • Protects: Vitamins A, C, and D, and the mineral zinc promote the health and function of your child's immune system. Vitamin C, a water-soluble vitamin, is important to replenish daily.
The Children's Oxylent multivitamin drink comes in bubbly berry punch flavor. My kids really love the flavor and it is easy to mix with 4-6 ounces of water. It is sorta fizzy. I found that it doesn't dissolve completely. There is always some white residue that is left behind after drinking. Getting my children to get their vitamins this way was not hard at all. One packet daily is recommended amount for children over 4 years old.I love the fact that Stevia is used instead of sugar, it has natural fruit flavors, and beet powder is used for coloring.
