All Things Bright and Beautiful is a book illustrated by Katy Hudson. The words in the book are from a popular church hymn by Cecil Frances Alexander. This hardcover book is filled with delightful watercolor pictures to accompany the words to this lovely song. Kids playing, picking flowers and blueberries, walking in nature, enjoying God's creations, etc. grace the pages of this sweet book. On the last page there is a bunny in a meadow with flowers, butterflies and a bee with the scripture Genesis 1:1, 31 (KJV): "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.... And God saw all that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.". The book is geared towards ages 4-7.
My daughter Zari enjoying the All Things Bright and Beautiful book. |
This book is such a treasure. I love the pictures and the hymn is one of my absolute favorites. I had to have this wonderful book for my youngest children. My daughters adore it. My daughter Teela loves reading this to Zari and Zari loves looking at the childlike illustrations. I know this hymn and love to sing it to them showing them the pictures as I turn the pages. I love that this book details nature and features the amazing creations all around us.
